It was brought to my attention that I currently rank at or around 5th in time spent in the invasion server as of late so maybe I should join the forums. I think most of you will recognize me from the game. I'm a long time gamer from the text adventure days and always was a big fan of the original Unreal game and spent many hours with the original UT. UT2004 will run acceptably on my laptop so I'm able play while traveling as long as the internet connection can handle the activity. I should thank Wraith for fixing my game account when I bought a second copy of the game. I enjoy the server as much as possible and thanks for allowing me to use it as much as I have. See you in the game.
wahooo about time..... now vent?

Welcome.
Long time gamer? I became addicted in the early '80's when my Dad bought an Atari 2600. My first computer game was the original King's Quest and I also enjoyed text adventure games, especially Infocomm's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. (Remember that one?)
Anyhoo, welcome to the forums...now come join the Ventrilo party!
...and lemme know if you ever played on any of TheGamebox.net servers.

Considering my age, I could be a long-time gamer, if you consider the PS1 and Nintendo64 old.
Ughh.. now I feel old.. N64 came out when I was a junior in college. I remember being blown away with Mario64.Zax_Gentoo_Box wrote:Considering my age, I could be a long-time gamer, if you consider the PS1 and Nintendo64 old.

I still remember my first computer, an Atari 800 with 16k memory! Aw the sweet days of type in "cload (forgot the rest of it) and then 20 minutes into loading from the cassette player you get an error and had to rewind the tape and start over!

Sorry to take so long to respond but thanks for the welcome.
I also had an Atari 800. There was a Bruce Lee game that I played back then that was pretty cool at the time. I gave the computer to a friend and got myself a C64 with a "disk drive" wow!!!!! That computer turned into an Amiga.... still my favorite computer. Ran a multiline BBS from the Amiga for about 7 years. Then some College network crap came along a ruined it all. $800 upgradable sysop program modems times 3 sat idle until I pulled the plug on it all. Never was much of an ANSI artist anyway.
