Ut3 Or Crysis
Hi i just upgraded my pc to 1g ram, with ATI radeon 2600 pro 512mb, and was wondering, which game should i get? Crysis or ut3? Both are great games, i just downloaded ut3 demo and am loving it, but for crysis, i can i hope i can run the game which i should because there is a video of crysis running on 2gz when its supposed 2 be at 2.2-2.8 and pc pc has 1.83 ghz but can run up to 2.6ghz. I can run both games barely but im limited to harddrive C: space, im low to 33gigs , i used to have 74gigs, since both games are 12gigs so i can buy only one. Which should i get? personnaly i like both.
I LOVE UT3
First off, let me again remind everyone "to each their own." The game someone finds exciting, another may find boring. That's just the way it is. With that said, I'll give you my 2 cents.
UT3 has more game play issues then Crysis, but also is a more stylized type of game play in a good way. Crysis, if you can handle it, has superior graphics, but not by a huge margin, so I guess graphics wise they are similar, but Crysis is definitely more requirement intensive. In Crysis the trees sway around, the machine guns actually cut through the foliage, and the details on the characters faces in game and film clips are stunning. (but this is on my 8800GT with everything maxed except for one or two things)
UT3 spanks Crysis on the amount of game types. Crysis only has two modes - Power Struggle where teams try to destroy the other teams base, and instant action, which is basically DM.
Crysis spanks UT3 on the first player side of things. The story is more engaging and the cinematic segments are more interesting.
As far as multiplayer game play, I have to say both games have issues. They both have low numbers playing online. UT3's gameply is "ok," Crysis can be a bit clunky with its multiplayer action at times. Instant Action is fun, but it is hard to know whether you have killed people as there is barely any gore. The positive of it is the nano suit; it adds some fun twists. You can switch to having "maximum armor," "maximum strength" where you can kill people with one punch, pick up heavy things, and jump onto one story buildings, "maximum speed" where you run really fast and reload faster, and "maximum cloak" where you can go invis and produce less sound.
For example, one time this guy was chasing me shooting, so i switched to maximum strength and jumped onto an upper building b4 he rounded the corner. I watched him run under me, and then i jumped down and instakilled him with one punch. It was hilarious now that I think about it :blackeye:
So, to make it simple, I would say if you are looking for a solid first person experience with some good multiplayer during normal hours and really clean graphics go with Crysis. If you are looking for a more diverse multiplayer experience with more stylized graphics and fictional weaponry, go UT3. Good luck.

UT3 is pretty awesome, in my opinion. Especially since I got my new graphics card and can play it above 640x480. Being able to see stuff and run at a smooth framerate is a major improvement!

yeah i would go for ut3 just because of the less multiplayer capabilities of crysis
Its Pronounced Taz-Cross-Blade, not Tazer-Blade, not Taz-Crows-Blade, not Taco-Blade, Taz-Cross-Blade

i have the same video card and 1GB of memory as well...i can play UT3 but it's not so great quality. i haven't really tried on a low resolution. mine is just whatever the default is i think... anyway, if crysis requires much more than UT3 then you might want to get UT3 instead cause you'll actually be able to play it.
