i was thinking of making some monsters for the game but i just don't have the right program. i have maya 7 but that won't let you export to the ut editor...does anyone here do that kind of thing? if so, what program do you use to model the monsters?
...also, would you even use them if i made them?

You need to get a plug-in from nvidia. I use the plug-in to export any static meshes I made to .ase files that can be imported into the editor....

I have maya 6...old, but does everything I need...

Yeah, Maya 7 should be fine for anything you want to do. The ActorX plugin is what you need to export your models and animations, grab it from here: http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/ActorX.html

hmm...yeah i thought i downloaded it before but it must've been the wrong one or i didn't load it into maya properly...but i just went to my roomate's graduation and he showed me how they did it so i think i'll be ok now. thanks for the link...also i now have maya 8.5
