Hello guys, I'm not sure if anyone has posted this thread yet. I checked almost everyone of the threads below and found nothing.
I'm just a lil concerned with monsters still up and galloping after a wave ends and all the people that died are spawning. I saw a raptor take a bite out of a few low level players that were running for safety. I tried to kill it, but it was too late. Also, the slith's ultima sometime will continue after wave 16 has been called. Now in those case I feel really bad for low level players because that's the wave they get the most xp out of so they can level up, and here they are dying seconds after they spawn. Also, low level players are what keep monsters from being invincible, so if low level players die, then the rest of us are pretty much hopeless. I wasn't sure what the problem was/is, or if it's a concern that is being looked at. Just thought I would point that out.
Bye

I beleive this is a known issue and is map specific.I'm just a lil concerned with monsters still up and galloping after a wave ends and all the people that died are spawning
Thanks for the heads up.

I'll see if theres anything that can be done. Perhaps I can increase the spawn protection time for players, I believe its set at 6 seconds (unreal seconds)... anyhow, if I make it 12, maybe we can see if that will help out. I'll write it on my to-do list and if it works then .....Yahoo!
Thanks for bringing this up, its just one of the small details that can make a big difference...
p.s. A raptor that hangs around sometimes happen, .....for whatever reason, either the game lost track of him or the raptors figured out a way to glitch the system like players sometimes do on certain maps. You know the raptors really are pretty smart for a dinosaur....and I heard rumors they are trying to form a union....pretty sneaky.

LoL, yes, I heard they were brilliant. I mean, they can find your weakest point and bite you right where it hurts the most. But I'm sure the lower level players or people respawning will be very happy about that extra 6 seconds to get situated.

I believe the issue is actually a result of the mini-boss... I've noticed that it only happens on waves after the mini-boss and usually only one monster. I could be wrong but if there is some kind monster counter, then maybe it is being thrown off since the mini-boss is incorporated into the map and not a part of the mutator or whatever it is that causes the monsters to spawn and kills them off upon time-out. So basically it's being counted as dying, but not being accounted for upon spawn.
To the issue with the sliths ultima, they usually kill me before I even see myself spawn. That is how small of a margin of time we are talking about. So I wouldn't think that there was a period of protection at all unless you hadn't said that there was one Wraith.

Player protection was changed from 6 to 12 (seconds?), so lets see what happens, hopefully that will give players a chance to see whats going on, because I'm sure on slower machines, it takes a bit more time before they see themselves as being spawned, and the server has them down as being spawned for longer than the player realizes it, so they don't get to see the benefits of player protection.
