There are only 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who read binary, and everyone else.
4013 is only a FAD

I just installed the final version of the SP3 on my work machine, no problems, no hitches. I downloaded the 324 MB file from the Microsoft catalog, rather than going thru windows update.
I had never tried out the beta versions before.
No problems, all the programs work like always. UT2004, UT2K4 Editor,, syncback, MS office, databases, back-up programs etc all work like normal.
I will be installing it on more machines later today if I have the time...

Yeah, it works on my laptop just fine... don't know what the deal was with the desktop. Some conflict somewhere, but not important enough to figure out.

As of May 8th, the redistributable is NOT officially released. The only way you can get the real version is through windows update. Any other way is the RTM. I have installed it on 5 PCs at work, with no issues. I will say that they were fresh installs with SP2. And from what I have read they recommend SP2 already be on there.
Namu
You can get the distributable from clicking the windows catalog link on XP, thats where I got it after searching around a bit.

Yes, I could have got it thru windows update, but thats the 60mb one that I didn't want, as I wanted the stand-alone full sized one...got alot of machine to update. So far so good.
