Well... I don't know how or where to start, so better be up to the point right away. We are taking our UT2k4 offline on June 1st.

All the cheer to get a new server for UT3 ended up being a waste of time and money. You guys chipped in and I signed another year of bandwidth contract but UT3 did not deliver what we wanted. We have so far been unsuccessful to get the CoD server full or even a bit busy. Being a 100% UT community makes it impossible to get anything else off the ground and UT2k4 is not cutting it anymore. Unfortunately all the excitement of this new game and then... this... has totally ruined it for us. Clan members are AWOL and forum visits are slowing down rapidly. After a few weeks of struggling with myself I cut our hosting contract short, paid the penalties and brought the server to my company's datacenter where it's going to sit for another month. End of May is going to be the end of Omni UT2k4 servers.

We will keep our forums up and running for the foreseeable future. Clan will be disbanded, but those who want to stick around in forums are more than welcome to stay.

Thank you everyone for being there for us... we'll be here but will not host servers any longer. And thank you very much, Epic. May you die a corporate death.

P.S. There is an internal discussion going on to see if someone would want to pick up after I retire. We will let you know once we find out ourselves. In that case most UT servers will stay online without me in management. Of course I will be around but with minimal or no responsibility.

And alpha, that's what mobius means... needing a second server because the first will fill up.

They may not actually disappear completely.

Servers will go down Monday June 2nd at 12:00 AM CT so plan accordingly. It's not yet completely final except the part that I've been involved in. There is a strong possibility of a group of clan members pick up where I'm going to leave off.

is it just me or does the omni server get a lot of lag? oh well, they have interesting maps and vehicles anyway.

- couple of times i've tried to play is been laggy as hell.. the ping is not high but the server lags alot .. That only means the network is fine , but the machine is a cheap piece of junk , can't handle so many client requests while in game -
