Looks like omni is turning off the lights
I don't think that you want them... ;)

They had a few maps that were half decent. It'll be interesting to see the flow change from one server to another if it does completely come down.

Only played there a couple times but if the crowd here is going to keep voting in B*tchslap it may as well be a version with more than a snowball's chance in hell of finishing before OT :angryfire:
The OMNI version I played (links the two tank/manta nodes together, no mines) has at least a little more variety to it......
Same goes for Dreamus --I've seen several versions that have good to great possibilities of killing the core whilst retaining the map's excellent spirit, whereas the one on SV almost exclusively keeps the same stalemated situation between middle-secondary all the way to OT.

Their server HAS been getting intermittent lag/packet loss.
Whats disturbing about this is that not too long ago (year and a half iirc) they had a donation drive for a new dual quad core etc... now they've done it AGAIN and all that happened is UT3 sucked... so hes taking down the new server? Whats happening to the hardware? The old hardware?
Omni donations just went down the money hole?
I'd complain in person but that asshole Q banned me.
Some of the older versions of Dria, Older versions of Tyrant, Magic isle possibly their cleaned up versions of Urban and Kakmo (without the vehicle mods). Gorz knows a thing or two about optimizing levels for 32p servers. Before they went nuts with their new raptor mutations alot of those maps and vehicle balances had real merit.e_aLpHa wrote:Name at least one..

From what I got in their forums is that Q owns all the hardware himself and is pulling out of the position he's been in. This leaves their clan with the website and forums and that's it.

that's just another reazon that blows it even more for me.. no way in hell i'll be playing in a server where a guy like PastorofMupets is an admin..
Thats my point, Q accepted donations for alot of the hardware, they just raised $4,500 and now... gone. Not to say if I were in charge and paid the huge bandwidth bills I wouldn't take some liberties, just wondering how much bandwidth donations covered.StaticLan wrote:From what I got in their forums is that Q owns all the hardware himself and is pulling out of the position he's been in. Exactly! If I were one of those people donating I would want to know where all that money was going if all that was going to be left was a site and forums. For $4500, that's a hell of a lot of bandwidth!!!
