no that would cause riots but im sure that wraith will want that fixed when he figures it out...or it could be what makes the medic actually worth playing at lower levels

I tried this twice earlier and it does indeed give you 6000 exp..

and a riot of medics... :faroah:

hey man thats not fair to remove that
medic master must invest so many sstat point for healing others and monsters are so weak they will never get a chance to level up than
theyre healing others all 16 waves and get no exp so its fair to give them 6000 in the end

dont remove it....

@bigws: Aren't Medics the only class that's worth playing at low levels as it is?

As for this particular issue ... Lets just say I do not view this as an intended benefit of having summoned monsters, and there may be some changes in the future which are geared towards fixing or reducing this effect.

This is obviously unintended. Giving 3x reward to medics only for sitting on their asses with 2 pupee is just unfair no matter how you look at it. If you think the medics are unbalanced then come up with some way to balance things out. I'm sure other medics in the community would add their 2¢.

i second inspectors answer, medics are extremely powerful once they max the important shit but in the end its kinda on the tipping point of being unfair that they get an easy 6k exp from luci on top of the shooting exp....so thats pry about 10kexp at least for them if they are higher level but i guess also adren and weapon masters could summon nali cows on wave 16

i didnt say , that they just sit on their asses , i said theyre investing so many stat points for healing other ppl
they could invest them on db but they have to heal

Bigs, do you have a level 180 or above medic?
This is only a guess, but I bet not.
If you think a medic is that powerful at high levels
you should play 1 and own on the servers. Let me know how it
goes. The fact that someone found a glitch with the medic has nothing
to do with the fact that a medic without a triple is useless except for healing
after wave 12, Ask Kronos. Think about it the medic weapon is the only inf wep
the medic has that is usable. Why you ask, because the medic does not have
resupply. The medic weapon is roughly the same as any plus 3 weapon. I would love to
see you or frankie use this as your best weapon. If you are lucky you may find a inf gun
laying around on the ground but unlikely. A medic will own for the first 7 levels and then
will be stomped by the other players. Gee maybe this is why medics are called
medic monster masters. Someone in the original design of the game must have thought
it thru. We have already dumbed them down so as not to interfer with other players.
IE smaller monsters, titens, quantity of monsters, did you know the original medic could
spawn 2 monsters.

Indeed. Medics aren't really all that tough, despite what some folks think. Sure, when DR and Advanced DR are maxed, and you have a decent amount of health, you can take a few Seeker shots in a row. But there's no Medic alive that can take more than one Titan rock to the face, or survive a Volcano Slith explosion.

Medics top out early with their abilities, and have crap pickings after level 90 or so. You can dump points into Experienced Healing, but that won't really gain any levels. I think Trowa or D2 or someone on the wiki had some numbers that showed that you'd have to spend ludicrous amounts of time, entire lifetimes, healing other players and you still wouldn't get enough XP to earn back all the money you spent on buying Experienced Healing in the first place!

Medics really don't have anything to buy once they max DR, DB, WS, health, and their medic-specific stats. Nothing that can help them earn the experience that flows so freely to AMs and WMs.

Actually, it's not even that good. Some of the folks here ran the numbers awhile back, and Medic weapons worked out to about 1.5x the damage level of a normal Infinite weapon. There really wasn't hardly any improvement in damage at all. Certainly I don't see anything like the experience gained by a +3 Infinite Link when I'm using a Medic Link. (Yes, my DB and everything relevant is maxed. I'm level 133 or so.) Medic weapons are inferior even to a +2 gun.
Couple things:

Experienced Healing recently received a rather large price drop, so any numbers posted before about how long it would take to pay for itself would need to be re-evaluated. There's also the consideration that Experienced Healing is required for buying the Medic Artifacts which (I would hope) are valuable parts of a Medic's arsenal and allow him to use weapons like the Link Gun, that don't have splash damage, more regularly.

A Medic weapon is a +6 Healing weapon, which means it does +6% damage (1% per modifier). Null and Freezing are +5% per modifier (Min=5%, Max=30%, Empowered=35%), Vorpal does +10% per modifier... Infinite does +5% per modifier. In short, the Medic weapon doesn't stack up very well at all once you have reached the point where you can't purchase any more weapon speed.

indeed i do have a level 180 medic and i belive that if you build your medic correctly that you can keep up with just about any other class...when franky was back at level 300 i was able to keep up with him rather well untill wave 13 but after the green raptors were gone on 14-15 i was still able to go out for long periods of time...one of the problems now with medics tanking like that is that i was able to use the healing blast to almost instantly re-heal myself back up to 500 health but since they made that wait time for it to explode its just about worthless when u have a second seeker shot coming at you
