Hey guys, I'm not too sure if anyone has had a chance to play Dead Space yet, but me some of my buddies decided to go out and get it. I am currently around chapter 7 and I just thought I would say "What a game!"
This is by far one of the scariest games I've played in my life. Out in the middle of space on an abandoned mining ship. Well, I shouldn't say abandoned, you do have the necromorphs keeping you company. When fighting a monster, you should choose wisely where to shoot. Shooting there head off would seem to do the trick, but it only blinds then. Shooting there legs only slows them down. It is very interesting taking down enemies. They will even climb in vents, pop out behind you, and tear you apart. The game seems to always keep you on the edge of your seat with different various mission to do. Besides being scared alot, it looks and sounds great. The environment, sounds, music, gameplay, it just all fits in so good. It kind of reminds me of resident evil 4, probibly due to the third person camera, gun upgrades, and similar aiming. I always like going into the zero gravity areas where you can jump from one side of a room to another with gravity not beign a factor. Although there is no online capabilities, the campaign itself makes up for it. The story is interesting too. Throughout the game you get text logs and audio logs explaining whats happening. You could probibly look on the internet to get a very detailed discription of the story too. There is also some sort of movie about it too.
But personally, I like this game (even though I havent finished it yet). Great Survival/Shooting game.
Anyone else had a chance to play it? What do you think?
Dead Space !!!
I hate to be a downer, but I didn't like it that much. Maybe it was just too closely related to Doom 3 or something, but I find these scary games all to common :'(
Or maybe because I played Dead Rising right after & I was "immune" to horror at the moment.
But in Dead Space I do love bashing those creatures even though they are already dead lol.

The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.

Yea I know what you mean. Every time I kill any of those creatures, then curb stomp there head into the ground, I get a victorious feeling in me. As for me I get scared more then others. Thats probibly why I take my sweet time exploring and get spooked easily then others getting a better experience out of the game.
