as far as the vote. When TX was good it was better then chicago.

Although it seems to be running the likes of grit and chain better? what up with that

Pimp this server guys. It's not getting as much game play as Chigago simply because there arn't as many there. We need to fill Texas up and give it a good testing.

I was trying to get some to switch today. Some didn't even beleive the other one was up . Then again she may have just been screwing with me. Before heading to Texas if there arn't many there stop by Chigago and try to coax some over,.

If I were you, and pimping for Texas, its best that you understand that even the pimps would be wearing a cowboy hat and chaps if they are successful on any level.....

Also the texas state flag or the red/white/blue motif is also in year in/ year out...

LMAO! Thats cool yall Yea I think it may have also took some time to show up in the master query, or at least it did for me. I love the Texas one thogh my ping is usally in the 20's range versus chicago where I'm getting 70's. Course I'm sure there are people wishing they could get down to a 70 ping.
I recomend cable internet if availble in your area!
I kinda like having them both though for when one is filled I just go to the other.

Well except for maybe Friday or Saturday nights, we cannot support 2 32 player servers. One of them will be converted to a mutator server eventually.

Chicago is leading the vote right now, but I suspect that's because most people are playing on the Chicago server, and not the Texas server.

They will remain as is for a while, but I would say within a month, a decision will have to be made.

I don't mind which server will be the official 32 player server, both are great. One thing that I think is slowing the adoption of the texas location is when it has only a few players and many bots. They steal the vehicles and that allows the enemy to steal them etc. I don't mind playing it when there is only ahandful of players, but I get frustrated with the bots being there. Can you lower the minimum number of bots even further, say maybe 4 bots per side maximum. Last night when I was on the texas server, it was hard to find the vehicle I wanted because of the bots.

From the way I understand it . In short. Texas server is the same loc as our last server. From that location we had PL problems for weeks. We aquired the Chicago location as a way of solving PL problems. The PL problems were due to router failer inside a network center renting out space to a network provider that was going under and unable to fix the router. We were offerd a better connection from the network center that was leasing the space to our old provider.

All in all our Texas server should be better then ever. This was the location that DW was build upon and became #1. You have lost people to the Chicago server because in all the changes this was the place that was saved in favorites. It also will attrack people becuase it has people in it .

We seriously need to fill up the Texas location and see if it really does handle 32 peeps better then before. If so I may think twice about the popular vote. The people have been known to make mistakes before.

Maybe consider taking a chance and shutting down Chicago for a day or two. That should be like pulling teeth I bet.

I really don't know what server is better. I ping chicago fine usually . Though I have noticed that I am getting a much larger range . Even seen it go quite high at night when it really should be getting better due to less net traffic. I do hope the right one is picked.

For me, one thing that will help me go into a server with few people is few bots. I don't really like playing with all the bots right now. Even if there are only 2 real players online, i think a bot count of 4vs4 would be better than this 8vs8. Lets face it the Bots can shoot you down with raptor half a map away or even see you in a place that no one else should have, but they are so friggen stupid when it comes to everthing else it makes me irritable playing with them.

In the end I see the Fx-60 server placed on the texas connection. Like Bomzin said, that is how that server became #1 in the first place. For me, I have not seen any lag associated with the Chicago server yet. Of course, we haven't been able to fully test the Texas connection and it could wimp out. I like the idea of shutting down the Chicago server for a bit, just to test the Texas one out.

I will think about all the options guys. I agree, the only way to get the Texas server fully tested is to close the Chicago server. But as I tell everyone, gamers are very fickle, and absolutely no one listens. They go out to the server browser, sort by number of players, and go. Or they look at their favorite big servers, see Spam Vikings is down, and go elswhere.

In the end, I will probably have a "grand opening" on the Texas server, but I'd like to have some fun with it. Maybe give away some T-shirts or something.

Anyway, it won't happen for the next two weeks, as I am outta here for a little vaca.
