Well, I can't substantiate any of your claims joe, but I have to say I don't see much PLUS yet. Those who link to heal vehicles are just those types of people, and will do it regardless of points.

I think if more people realized you get points for doing other things, there might be a little improvement in teamwork. It could be a lack of education regarding PLUS.

But then this presents a quandry. Do you really want these people on your team anyway, if they only link you because they get points now? PLUS won't make a non team player a team player.

The things I liked in PLUS were:

1. Direction to hop out a vehicle (used it once)
2. False missle lock warning fixed (it's not, I still get them)
3. Point sharing (I see no fundamental change in gameplay because of this.)

So I'm pretty close to pulling it.

yeah I'f hoped that it would improve team work but I had a dream and now that dream has gone from me.
back from vacation and will be ready to frag this weekend!

:colors: I like the idea that you can see if there are items available at a node.
before you regenerate look at the dots on the map, it shows if something is
available and what it is, I think that makes it worth it. If you know what
should be at a particular place you will know if it is available, only shows before
you regenerate. Cheap

Ahh, that's a good point. I do use that as well.

Well, it's not doing any HARM AFAIK, so we'll let it ride for now.

Another thing I noticed and I might be crazy but the tank can shoot higher above then before. I got 2 complaints from peeps when I was playing yesterday and today. I specced todays and thats all I could see is the arc is a little higher maybe.

I got plucked yesterday twice but I thought i was a little rusty form being off an week.

I have to admit joe might have a point.

I was playing last night when i was rushed by two raptors, now my tank was at a stupid angle as i had been firing down on a node. (map = dawn) but amazingly with only a slight hit on reverse and a hit and hope shot i blasted both raptors (obviously one at a time) out of the sky.

Now im 50% sure i wouldnt have been able to make that shot before the turret on the take simply wouldnt shoot at that elevation...

Hey,
Thanks for taking an interest in my mut ;)

First off, it makes no modifications to vehicles other than what is mentioned...tanks can't fire at expanded elevations, mantas can't manouver more quickly etc...the vehicles are exactly the same, except for bugfixes here and there. (also, the missile lock fix does work ;) but missiles can stay flying in the sky for a very long time..and thus the warning will stay up too, but will definetly disappear given time)


I find that it can take a while for people to realise that linking gives equally shared points but as new people see regs do it on Titan, they tend to follow suit :)
None the less, if you feel that feature (or any other ;)) is undesired, you can disable it from webadmin or ONSPlus.ini.
Just about all added features (excluding bugfixes) can be enabled/disabled serverside, and stuff like selectable exits can be disabled clientside too.


If you have any problems with the mutator, just give me a shout at the Titan forums :)

Well I think its playing better with out but I dont want to ruin it for anyone else.

You sure you didnt get Fluffy's secret tricks to the cicada and tank slipped into that code?

The tank is quite differant I think with ONS plus on.

Hey Shambler, not sure if you still work on it, but could you make it so people linking other people at nodes get points too? I've noticed a lot of people linking directly to the node, presumably for the point bonus.
