Also, what is the best way to preserve a dried rose I took of my friend Crystals' coffin? I want to be able to keep it and I was thinking incasing it in resin but I'm not sure... What do you all think? It is beginning to fall apart and it is very important to me. Thanks

When preserving things it's best to get on the process as quickly as possible .DW_Savage wrote:Also, what is the best way to preserve a dried rose I took of my friend Crystals' coffin? The rose was dried emmidiately after getting it about... well, almost a year ago. I let it hang dry in a cool dark dry closet and it dried very well but I just recently notice a little bit of white fungi on it and I'm worried that it may eat it up. As for the tees, those aren't the ones they sold at Woodstock 99. I'll take a picture of the one I have and post it tonight if I can find my camera.

Um. Fungi not good . Your problem may lie with the way it's being stored now , humidity will not be your friend as the flower will keep trying to absorb moisture then release it . A airtight container may have gone along way . I would refrain from something such as a clear poly as it will yellow in time .DW_Savage wrote:The rose was dried emmidiately after getting it about... well, almost a year ago. I think Lucite goes on as a hot pour and I would be worried about the heat . Something of that sort may work but I would be looking for something with minimal heat .
I would stop by a local craft store and see what the older ladies have to say about it , give them your story . I'll ask my local guru on this when they get back into town on this if you would like , think they are gone till next week some time .
