Not sure what the platforms are for??? One of the things that I was going to use for my map was velocity volumes. Sort of like high speed tunnels. Of course this was going through mountains. However, I have crossed that out at this point. Of course, I am thinking about starting completely over because I am entirely happy with it.. :DGorzakk wrote:A-HA! Fiddling with it now, maybe a way to make it completely DM friendly. Jump pads are too far from the motherships unless their is somewhere closer...
Add some jumpers to the side nodes also, and its possible to get anywhere on this map on foot once the spur node inside the airship is charged. Ok ladies and gentlemen, what do you think?

No doubt.. wtf?? I finally found out where the stupid redeemer was in dreamus. The lower side defiantely has an advantage between that and fact they can climb the central mountain.Purity_the_Kitty wrote:There are underground tunnels in Grit Nights? Playable beta there. All packages embedded in the mapfile. If a few kind people would test it for me I would be grateful. If you like it TW replace the one on the server with it, this is much superior IMO.

I went looking today. So, I found the underground tunnels... But, you have to be a great jumper to get the deemer and the rest. Far above my meager skills! :cyclopsani:DW_Bomzin wrote:LOL....Theres a Deamer to if your feeling lucky. Actually you make the deamer and you've hit the mother load of weapons. I would just go ahead and play. lol..

All vehicles included in the map file so no extra downloads. The Falcon has had an update and is really sweet now trust me. The wasp has also had an update. Against other air vehicles just use 2ndry fire. There are jumps from the central airship to all nodes and cores. Also took the gas bags out of the central airship and added something different for people who prefer Death Match to dog fighting.

I just finished playing a couple of rounds... The hornet is pretty sweet... I like the interceptor as well, but the hornet is my favorite.Gorzakk wrote:NOW we are ready for a beta test.

I love the look of the jump platforms coming out, but I don't know how much I would actually use them. They are a pain to get to because you have to climb up to the top of the ship and then walk out on them, which leaves you pretty much in the open. Plus, those jumps are easy to miss and then you die. ;)
Maybe if there were warp points from the nodes in the main ship to the beginning of the walkways. Also, if you could zoom acrross the walkways to the jump points, that may make them a better attack mechanism.
just my 2 cents...

I wouldn't mind the jump pads, I don't run nearly enough flying players over with Raptors. That odd time where you suck somebody into your jets is hilarious. XD
I think the new version on the server is pretty nice. The new vehicles make it harder to just sit around in a raptor and take out nodes at will. The new node configuration helps too. Largely its an exercise in learning how to fly the raptor variants correctly. I'm against adding jumppads, as its plenty easy to get to nodes to DM if you jump out in mid air. Is one map where a tiny ammount of flight skills are nessesary such a horrible thing?
