It's Veteran's Day! Please take a moment to give thanks to those who serve. The phrase "freedom isn't free" has been around quite some time, but I think that most people do not really stop to consider what it really means. Today...take a little time to think.

And finally, I thought I'd share a few things about my Dad. SSgt. Nelson M. Reynolds, 11th Bombardment Group, Army AirForce. Stationed in the Pacific during WWII. Primarily flying out of bases in the Marianas Islands. He was the radio operator and tail gunner in a B-24 Liberartor bomber. Well known for their colorful and sometimes outrageous nose art, these planes were workhorses, both in the Pacific and European theaters.

This photo is beginning to degrade...I see I have some Photoshop work to do!

This is a photo of my Dad (on the right) and another Hoosier native, Lt. Walker. They were in the same bomb group but in different flight crews.

You may not always agree with the government that sends our troops to war, but you for darn sure should support the troops!!
