Instead of kicking AFKers
Instead of kicking an AFK'er, is it possible for some sort of plug-in that forces people who afk for too long to go spectator mode, keeping their score and everything when they rejoin instead of just removing them from the game?
I like cookies...
First of all there is only one spectator slot so if we had more than one afk players what would happen? And there is no point in a player going afk and still getting benefits from other players work in my opinion like a player getting 25 score then going afk to come back in and get win xp later on in the game.

If u get in spectator mode u still get kicked for idling in spec mode so....and if u join get 25 exp go afk and let others fo the work then u join( how sure u will be that u gonna join right before they end map? And if u always do that u r not afk).players gonna abuse that...is not a good idea in my opinion...
If we don't do what we love, no matter if we do it all day we will always be unoccupied...
I think it'll be a better idea to simply track the player's score just in case they disconnect. This wont apply just to idlers, but also to players who crashed or reconnected.
Question I have for you. Should the scores be associated with your name or by your CD key?
If by name:
You'll lose your points when you change your name, but you'll get your points back if you revert your old name.
If by CD Key:
You'll keep your points as long as you keep the same CD Key (I will develop a solution for players that share CD Keys). This means you can gain a hundred points as your first class, reconnect as a different class, and you have 100 points to begin with.
Score is increasingly becoming more important. We have relics, player monsters, and monster selection menus that are dependent on your score. Oh, and experience points from objectives/end game.

The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.

How would that go for dedicated monsters would they keep their kills and points sometimes it kicks for idle when we are not idle and other times we may get disconnected or crash so how would that work for the blue team?

Kills are automatically set to 0 when they join a dedicated monster (this also acts for when you're automatically set as a dedicated monster when connecting the server).Adidaz wrote:How would that go for dedicated monsters would they keep their kills and points sometimes it kicks for idle when we are not idle and other times we may get disconnected or crash so how would that work for the blue team?
Points will remain the same. Monster Tokens will remain the same.
For nondedicated monster players, kills and deaths will remain the same (for the Awards tracked in the RPG)

I feel safer with using the CD key for keeping scores. If you use the name for score keeping, then anyone can use that name and get access to the level!

Nope, your levels are saved to your CD key and your name so if someone comes in on Mahloeeh500 soon as they get into the game their name will change to Mahloeeh500_imposter unless they are on your CD key also.poompoom500 wrote::scool:

and as far as I understood this, Ant is talking about the scores on a map, not the exp
If you score 100 points and rejoin it is lost at the moment, he wants to change that either by linking it to the name -> rejoin with same char and you start with 100 score, or link it to cd key -> switch from berserk to support and you will start with 100 score, which is a problem in my opinion
