NEBRI
The admin does his job correctly as far as i see and proof of that is that i am no longer on the server currently for breaking a rule. The updates also are necessary due to the support class having way too much power and being too independent and also the Beserk class got a new skill last update so that should make Beserks happy. Also i highly doubt the updates are the reasons you do not want play there. The redeemer thing is not really a big deal in my opinion.

Anyway lets not stray too far from the topic, I think a good way to deal with Nebri is maybe a vote kick option that blocks you for like couple maps? A vote that does not block for the map you got kicked on but maybe for the next 5 or 10 maps similar to a levels kick and if it is serious and he is getting in the way of more players he can be kicked for like 60 maps? Not my place to say he should or should not get banned but he does not speak english so i hope you show mercy.
P.S. Franky, I am not calling you a lier i was stating my opinion based on what i have seen.

an option where you can select how many maps someone should be kicked for already exists and its called an admin :sgiggle:
No seriously, I don't think there should be an option like this for normal players since the only thing they will do is select the maximum number of possible maps and then kick him out for the day, no matter if its just someone accidently killing someone with a boat on Iguazu or if its ... well you know ...
But I could see an option that just kicks you for 1 map longer then the last time you got kicked. So that people who are kicked frequently also get longer kicks automaticly (maybe with a counter that reduces itself by 1 each week or something like that). Problem is someone has to implement such a solution and although I would love to do it I got the programming skills of a Housefly :ssweating:

There are times when we all may feel like Star Wars has something to say that parallels a specific situation that we may be dealing with.
Take Lando Calrissian for an example in this video. We could easily translate Ant to be Darth Vader in your situation.

Moral of the story:
If you change your attitude and perspective, perhaps Ant won't alter the server, and maybe you won't have to pray that Ant won't alter it any further.

It's not my intention to have others believe that I don't do my job. I want to make it clear what I kick players for.
I'll reword my previous post:
I am not going to force players to play the game in a particular way. This means that I'm not going to kick players if they camp health packs. That's like kicking a player in Monster Mash because they are shooting spider mines out of a bunker window. It's a different play style, doesn't mean it deserves a kick. I do understand that the rushing business may negatively affect other players, but that's the side affect of teamwork. Please check out my other post about teamwork.
The being said, I will not kick players for not being a team player. That's like forcing an adrenaline master to make Energy Weapons for players.
I will not kick players if they kill me as player monsters (nor kick vote).
I hope I don't have to reword this one.
I'm not going to kick players if their skill level does not match yours.
I'm not going to kick players for learning the game. Learning implies making mistakes, and making mistakes frequently lead to deaths.
I'm not going to kick players for underestimating the enemy or overestimating their class.
I'm not going to kick players if they aren't paying attention (ie: half asleep or distracted by phone call, etc...)
I am going to kick players for intentionally suiciding to obtain supplies. ie: Regaining spirits, perpet Soul, adren from Readiness, etc...
I am going to kick players for Obvious team sabotage. This means borderline actions are exempted (however I'll kick vote for that). What this means, is that the player must be actively knowing that they are hurting the team. You always have to consider the possibility for accidents or just poor timing (such as dieing right after Habulin summoned a spirit in this case).
Regarding to Nebri's redeemer situation, that redeemer is completely optional. In Temple Run, it is considered a secret weapon. You should consider that weapon to be a helper rather than a necessary component to the success of the assault. If Nebri wastes the deemer, then that is unfortunate, but the secret weapon is lost for the game. However that action should not jeopardize the assault.
I will not kick players for Mid Game voting...until further notice.
I will not kick players for becoming a dedicated monster because they don't like the map.
I will kick players for team sabotage/griefing because they don't like the map they are playing right now (see above).
Now some things I will kick for:
I will kick players for cheating.
I will kick players for delaying the game even though it's completely safe to complete objective (ie: The holding the Raya Statue in Cubes and the yellow room is cleared).
I will kick players for idling.
I will kick players for giving away player monster positions while in spectator mode.
I will kick players for disruptive behavior (such as constant vulgar language, insulting, racism, sexism, etc...). Please note that disruptive behavior does not include taunting.
I will kick players for killing players as a player monster during cutscenes, spawn killing, or other cheap methods to obtain easy points.
There may be others I could be overlooking. . .
Things I will not kick players for:
I will not kick players for kick voting me even if I do get kicked. And yes, I was kicked voted from Monster Evo twice from killing players as a player monster while aliasing.
I will not kick players for stealing my vehicles. From an ONS perspective, I cannot claim a vehicle (even if I'm healing it).
I will not kick players for spamming down a corridor as a player monster.
I will not kick player monsters for destroying my trans.
I will not kick player monsters for teleporting or suiciding the second before I hit them.
I will NOT kick players because I don't like them.
I will not kick players for playing the game differently than what I do.
There may be other situations I'm overlooking. . .
If you have further questions regarding to server rules or specific situations, feel free to pm me. Please do not assume that reports do not fall onto the blind.

I personally consider it cheap since the idea of low level protection is to ease the new player into the game without worry too much of player monsters. I may do a kick vote for that depends how new the player is.
However, I will not do a force kick because that's kicking a player monster for utilizing the environment to its advantage, such as pushing a player into lava.

Most of that is absolutely understandable and in my eyes the right behavior for an admin.
What you chose to kickvote for is your choice alone, so is everyone else's votes.
not even kick voting for stealing vehicles on the other hand isn't something I would state that definite.
Again it's your choice what you vote for but there are some situations where stealing a car isn't only "going against the customs of the server" (because thats what the owning of cars on ME is, no server rule but players respect it). There are situations where stealing the car is nothing else but sabotaging the team and in that cases kickvoting isn't even enough anymore
Examples:
- If you have Hurricain on Devine inside the fortress, and after 5mins of constant fire you retreat and repair it and someone else gets in and uses it to defend the door, I can see why you wouldn't kickvote that, sad for the one who got it inside and decided to rather repair it then loose it, but since there is only one and everyone deserves some fun I can understand if you don't want to kickvote that. (I would, for going against server customs and because I payed a lot of money for that numberplate with my name on it :ssmirk: )
- If you have the Hurricain still outside (the left, most of the time) and you get out and repair it and someone jumps in and drives directly into the center of the map and loses it there after like 3-5 seconds of use, I can't see how that is not a kickvote, its what you discribed as "Team Sabotage" and I would even consider a forced kick for that.
- If you have a manta on torlan for faster transportation and to be able to safly get closer to the dinos and someone jumps in while you aren't watching and then dinos approach and eat you because someone stole your vehicle (and there are lots of mantas on that map) then thats worth a kickvote.
- Same thing as above with a raptor, would anger me but I wouldn't kickvote because you can use a raptor far more useful then as mean of transportation to step out and shoot with LG or Amril.
- When a certain person (Tipp: name is in the thread title) jumps into a car, rushes into the enemies, jumps out when the car is at 20HP then thats ok. But if I then retrieve it 2mins later since noone seems to want it anymore and the same person just waits till you repaired it and jumps in again and flies into the monsters and loses it after 3-5secs just so you don't use it then thats an forced kick or at least a kickvote
- if someone rushes to the leviathan on heated escort (still not given up hope to see it back one day :sitwasntme: ) just to go to the toilet without anyone else getting it, then thats worth a kick (same goes for stuff like redeemers, yes its a secret weapon which isn't needed for the assault, just a little helper, but if someone rushed there and grabs it, just to go afk that very second and comes back after when all the fun is gone and uses it to nuke 2 flies, because thats all thats left, then thats worth a kickvote too. No need to grab it if you don't use it (Nebri on the other hand did use it and then its his choice what to nuke so C'est la vie nalicow  ))
other question, is it a cheap kill if you kill people on oportunity knocks after the first rez when they are running back all the way to the locker with nothing more then a shield gun and a dispersion pistol? :srofl:
and is it a cheap kill if you kill afk players who do have scores, so it counts as kill? (If they just went afk without a word, I wouldn't kill them if they asked me not to)

I have one squabble against a couple of people (OMG and GHI) who, at one or two times, played monsters during the whole game and kept killing us (low levels) that prevented us from getting to the weapons locker for resupply. I know it's allowed but they are doing it deliberately to keep low levels in playing a regular game.

As a player monster, I would not attack a player with shield gun/dispersion pistol since I imagine that'll make the victim(s) upset.Azmodan wrote:other question, is it a cheap kill if you kill people on oportunity knocks after the first rez when they are running back all the way to the locker with nothing more then a shield gun and a dispersion pistol? :srofl:
However it is not against the rules to kill a player with a few weapons.
I would consider it cheap, especially for dedicated monsters.Azmodan wrote:and is it a cheap kill if you kill afk players who do have scores, so it counts as kill? (If they just went afk without a word, I wouldn't kill them if they asked me not to)
Killing a low level player is not against the rules. Save from one-shot kill monsters and environmental deaths, the level protection should be sufficient enough to keep the low levels alive. If not, then you should vote maps that don't have Face Huggers and multiple environmental hazards.poompoom500 wrote:...played monsters during the whole game and kept killing us (low levels) that prevented us from getting to the weapons locker for resupply.
