Yay, the new killer proccessor is coming, the Core 2 Duo, The core will be Conroe for the PCs. Early tests are showing a complete ass kicking against the best proccessor out right now (the FX-62) showing it beats it at around 25% !!!

Core 2 Duo
It is actually kind of scary the test results that are back. Plus, the fact that they are that cheap. Those woodcrests should scream on the server side (generally speaking, not just UT).

Well, we'll have to see what other reviews say, because there's no such thing as a fair benchmark these days. If they do what's advertised, however, they may be the chip I'll go for in the shiny new box I'm building...
