When playing on a public server iv found it almost impossible unless you are surrounded by friends to play a "team" game.

I see each fellow SVA as a good player and teammate in this game, along with the fine peeps at DW. So what I do is I look at the teams, and if one is severely weighted with the afore mentioned, and I'm the oddman out (happens SO often) then I know what kind of game it's gonna be. I tend to.. ahem.. underestimate people until proven otherwise. Those tags makes me overestimate you immediately, until I prove to myself otherwise.

Rant rant rant rant rant. You know what I like about Dreamus? I ain't got no friggin clue! It's fun! It's dreamus! I think dreamus, bitchslap (got a wicked sick in hte tank the other day), urban, and spiffingrad (could use some schock) are maps that PWN! Please, if you KNOW a map SUCKS like that everyone hates it and it's unanimous, then say the map sucks. Otherwise, lay off. If you don't have anything nice to say, stick a flak cannon up your ass. I mean don't say anything at all.

Now I don't want to sound arsy but you have got your opinions of Dreamus we have ours and a lot off people love it here. No matter how much you complain about the way it looks or plays that isn't going to change others peoples feelings towards it. If the game play is so horrible then why do so many people vote for it ?

And Vic may be very good in the tank but that doesn't detract from the rest of his game play as you are implying after playing with him in a scrim I have seen he isn't just a tank whore he has other skills too.

Now when it comes to playing dreamus with the rest of the public you cant expect everyone to be pro's not everyone plays often enough to be good at the game. Each person will play in their own style which makes all games more spammy and less organised.

So in closing try and have fun, tweaking the map would be great but we still love it as is. And if your going to make a long post please use paragraphs your posts look like a screen door !

1) I will admit Vic has skills when he demonstrates them. Sorry but i have rather high standards since i have been in competition with ONS since the demo. The guy reminds me of myself back in my early days. Focused all on padding stats and getting spawn rape kills. Vic has potential i suppose but skill... nope. but i digress

2) I dont think you have ever seen a decent pub if your opinion is what it appears. I would say drop by the SCK server from time to time. 18 man sure but when you get frequen clanners there (more so than yalls server actually) then you wont see spam. You will see controlled tactics. For the most part the clanners are from different teams and arent communicating with each other. Actually if you ever are on a clanners team they dont talk much at all unless it is some smack. The point being that people who have played long enough know where they should be and how to read other people so they can adjust to make sure that things are done properly. Yalls server doesnt promote that (but that isnt exactly right either. i cant exactly put it into words but the DW server just doesnt seem to attract people with much intelligence i suppose. I know exactly why the crowd that is there is there but again i digress)

3) Dreamus is a horrible map sorry. I am not getting into the rant on it. It was way too long and i deleted it because Dreamus is just bad. Bad design, bad terrain, bad weapons, bad vehicles, SHIT aesthetics.

If we are attracting the sort of ppl that dont come to ure server and you wouldnt want there then why the hell are you hanging around our boards boring us with your complaints and put downs on how you seem to know morethan us about UT.

Quite frankly its ppl like you I dont want in the game you take it too seriously and put other ppl down because of there game play. Were all here to have fun and unfortunatly we cant have the server full of DW and SVA all the time and there is no reserved spots so if the server is filled by the public then clan members cant play simple so just cos your server is filled with the usual ppl doesnt mean our is.

Once again I dont think you have played a team game with Vic so I dont think you have the right to comment on his game play.

People like some maps, and people dislike other maps. No one can tell me or anyone else what they like is wrong, and then go into a three page diatribe about why they are wrong for liking something.

I run 80 or so maps on this server. There's bound to be maps people don't like. This is my server, and even on MY server, I run maps I hate (*coughbitchslapcough*) because I know some people love maps that I hate. That's why it runs. Because I respect the fact that people like it, and people are herre to have a good time.

To some, having a good time means getting together with highly skilled players, and playing Dria for the 1,000th time. I respect that too. People have different perceptions of fun.

The UT2004 communty was never big to begin with, and gets smaller every day. As it gets smaller, our minds need to open up even more, not become more closed. It's a small family, living in a small house. Now's not the time to piss all over our other family members.

You brought the Sun-Tzu map to us. Even though I told you it would not work here, and I was never a big fan of it, I ran it anyway. I'll try things. And if people like it, even though I don't care for it, I'll run it. It's called being flexible and open minded.

The bottom line is this: People can like what they want for whatever reason they want, and you, nor anyone else can tell them they are wrong.

If you came here to have fun, I welcome you with open arms. If you came here to educate the n00bs with your elitist attitude, you came to the wrong place. We have no rooms available for that in our house.
