ONS-Aridoom-Rocketcar
They are levi homing rockets. They really bring the status of the scorp from zero to hero in a single bound and that tends to focus the map too much on them. I dont mind them, but then I just love all scorpions (as you guys may have noticed by now). But they are too much. My Scorpius Diablo rockets are standard dumbfire types and I think the rocket cars would have been better with them.
I dont mind that they home, but i fired a salvo at a group of people all running around before i died and i got a multikill from the grave. Gorz, why dont you make a regular scorp that fires dumb missles, but as the secondary fire switches it to a booster (like the for the hammerhead) for extra speed.

That map's cool. Only downside is NO FLAK CANNON. I'ma flak monkey, and taking the flak cannon away from me really hurts. :cwm21:

I don't like it anymore; the rocket cars looked like a great way to break the tank turtle on that map...but in reality they just added three more support platforms that make it even crazier. It's even MORE of a defender's map, and the first ones to get the middle node up on that map SHOULD always win.

The problem with Aridoom -- all versions -- is that comebacks are impossible.
Once you've lost the middle and that first node out falls under attack, you
have everyone spawning at the core with insufficient transport.
Many maps suffer this afflicition of course.

I signed up for an account. I should anyway since I am usually only on Spam Vikings server. I did make them and I am glad to have some feedback. It sounds like more people hate them than like them. I tried making several different textures (gold with a rocket on the front) It didn't seem to look good and I like that you can see what teams car it is.
I will definitely slow them down a bit and give them more friction. It is almost the first thing I scripted. I (like others) thought the map needed something that could take out the tanks and give it a better chance of a come-back, but it didn't work. Back to the drawing board.
As for a mapper I am not much of one. I know how, but I am not that great at it.
A bit of Background on me:
I started making 2D games in GameMaker with GameMaker Language (scripting language).
Then I started attending Henry Cogswell College for a degree in Computer Science.
I have made it to a Sophomore plus half a year (school goes through summer).
My school is closing due to lack of enrollment (not enough publicity).
I am now going to attend UW Bothell, because I can keep my job (working with Torque game engine making a game for Boeing, if you want to know more I might be able to tell you a bit more).
I am planning on going into the industry after I finish my degree (programming and scripting) and have 2 friends who graduated and got jobs (one worked a bit on Dead Rising).
I started unreal scripting about a year to 1 1/2 years ago.
I don't check my gmail account much so that is why it took me so long to reply, sorry. I also got addicted to chromehounds so I haven't been on unreal lately.
