Uhh.....
Cute map, I like the textures. However, I can imagine it turns off the "hardcore" players.
Severe imbalance in the map. I think that red has a definate advantage. The map layout is not at all even. He does try to make up for it by using some obstacles to make you go the long way around. However, there are plenty of raptors so that is easily defeated.
The towers where the cores are are a bit rediculous. I know that from the one time I played, I just camped in one and no one ever bothered to check up there. So, once my team got a primary node I just blasted it.
The problem is that the core is so well protected that it is protected from the defenders as well. Plus, attacking as red, I was able to fly a manta ontop of the core in 8 seconds, all being pretty well protected by terrain.
I have not even looked at the lockers or anything. I was getting about 32 fps running locally with 0 bots. The one time I played it on the server I did not notice any lag.

Maps like this are for the most part not worth trying to "save". The author tried something really original and wether or not it works is open to debate, but trying to edit it and fix any perceived problems is probably only going to make it more generic and give it a sameness with other maps.
It's so small that it will probably go quickly in any case unless both sides have good players as it is unbalanced as is. To fix it you'd have to make some significant changes and most players will probably still be staring in wonder at what was done here and trying to figure out what vehicle is what. Not worth the effort really if you ask me.

I agree. After spending 15-20 minutes playing around with it, I just think that it will take too much work to fix it.
Which I think is a shame since the author obviously spent a lot of time on it with custom textures, etc.
However, the node layout has to be totally rearranged which requires redoing the entire terrain. It would probably be easier to take the custom content and start over from scratch.
And not to hijack my own thread, but that Hyrule map is just as bad.

OK, then let's consider both of those off the table for now, unless we are down to nothing and someone gets really really bored.
