I made that post this morning and I was half asleep, I just wanna say that the mantas are going too fast for AVRiLs to keep up, considering that not only do they have the speed advantage, they have the terrain too. Launch a rocket, and they just duck behind a hill and speed to the other side of hte map. Hunting them down is both time-consuming and pointless. As for using the manta to take out the tank, people rarely use them for that. Usually mantas fly right on by the tank, not even caring it's there because its easy for them to dodge the tanks shells.

- Thanks guys! . .. again .. The first thing I noticed is that theres no way we are leaving the same node link setup .. we need to put some more nodes and have 2 ways at least to get to the enemy power core and burn it - this will add more chances for a team to win and at the same time take care of spliting the people all around the map and not just have all 30 players fighting over one node .. That will take care of the endless fight over just one node..and hopefully aliviate some server side cpu usage .. The actual node setup I realize to be really ugly and it turns out really boring at some point.. I also agree that at least one manta needs to go .. I myself dont use the sniper rifles so if you guys who do use them have trouble witht he lightnin gun then .. back be the sniper !! .. Thanks for all your's input - keep it comming :) ! please .

- Nice node setup there Cams .. I see 2 ways to getting to the core - requiring of 3 steps each (nodes) deff much better than just one wich really needs to go ..

Now this morning I came up this this node setup wich also has 2 ways of getting to the core but 1 in 2 steps(nodes) and the other more difficult in 3 steps .. While leaving 1 node unatackable ((where the mantas spawn to keep a team still mobible and with another place to spawn other tan the core in a loosing match )).. I noticed way way more movement all over the map and not just a bunch of bots concentrated at one node! ..
What do you think? .. This is the best I can think for dreamus in terms of spliting the people away

I think if you are planning on making node setup changes or any terrain balancing changes you need to do a version fork of the map. That is, call it Dreamus-SVA-SpecialEdition, or something. Switching the weapons around a bit, removing mines, balancing out the redeemer and all are good changes that were needed. More than that, though, is pushing the gameplay in a different direction and I think that warrants a new version title to indicate that.

Oh goodness no, not an ion tank. Be prepared for body parts to be flying EVERYWHERE! Could you imagine how many linkers would be behind that thing......

LOL, Ion Tank. Paladin is overkill on this map (as I think it is in Spiff). But I have to go back to the idea of changing the 3rd manta @ 6 for a Bender.

Or even better, to only have the manta from 6 (as reward for conquering that node) and move the extra scorpions from the cores to 1 and 3.

2 steps to the core might be too quick, but since the cores are better protected now it could be alright.

-- I tried that with godlike bots - The thing is we need something that at some point will break the balance on teams and that can be done by giving one team either .. a highly defensive vehicle suchs paladin .. or a highly mass destructive one such as the ion tank , as a reward (With long delay spawn time of course) .. either way it wont be able to protect/ attack 2 nodes at the same time without exposing itself to enemy fire .. and the team who doesn't have it can go around the other way and get the enemy power core roasted .. And if the whole team is linking it ..well again that leaves forcefully one node open to atack because of the node layout , never minding that some one has to win ! - Was thinking of moving the scorps from base to the far corner nodes .. From what I could see at least it spreads around the fights .. instead of that just one boring fight over and over -- No round went onto over time with the settings above Core killing was slow but in regular time.. again this was with bots , as I do all the tests --- Thanks for your input guys .. === and please more Ideas === we got to make this work and most important be a Fun map to play .. :albino:

Replace manta with paladin at the middle node.

Try hornets idea first, but no to the ion tank. Map is too small for that, as said by a previous poster.

Also, the idea of calling it something else, like special edition or 32 player edition, is a good idea if you add nodes.
