Hey guys, I think this map has plenty of potential, but it's a real dog when it comes to FPS.

Any takers on optimimizing it?

Do you want this converted to DM or something or just modified?

Assuming you want it to just be a better ONS map -- I'll take a look.

OK-- I downloaded it....

My oppinions are--

-Too many Raptors -- needs Mantas and Benders at main bases
-Node setup is awful -- easy fix.....
-Nodes between base and center are too unprotected, and the platforms are too small -- Make them bigger with some cover, (and Turrets?)
-All flying map, no ground access -- add a few select bridges from island to island to decrease painful flying in Raptors.

I also looked at it , But I get avg 110 fps offline with 31 bots loaded ingame , so It'd be hard for me to know when its better , What it needs is optimization so it can give better fps rate to the average systems - by the means of fog, decrease of poligons rendered and or adding unlit s-solid brushes - antiportals (wich works better for every case-map , not in this one tho)

So should I slightly MOD it -- or just basically kill all of the effects and smooth up the performance....?

I added 2 bridges (1 on each side) to the closest little island, which will fix the flying all the time gameplay at the end of the match and make the Avril less of a superpower (vs aircraft) against the attacking force -- which does make it nearly impossible for an attacking team to win.

Right now I'm killing most of the emitter and excess fog effects.

Should I kill some of the meshes too?

I won't mod anything else major unless you guys say to....

Whatever will help frames. I thought fog was a good thing in this aspect?
