No, it needs to be turned on for everyone. It just needs to be viewed as a privilege that can and will be taken away if it's improperly used.

Proper would be weapons, monsters, ect.

I would say that the Karma's guide to voice chat would be acceptable. I for one have a little bit lower tolerance for some of the topics and will be the first to advise you to chille on the voice chat. Keeping that in mind maybe we should give it another go.

If it gets turned on, I want to warn you all that I won't hesitate to slap, kick, or ban the annoying crap bags that used to be on every other time When I played before. One night these two kids talked about the most pointless crap for an entire map - I could barely hear the monsters.

As long as everyone is cool with the individual "judgements" of each DW admin, then why not give it a try?

The last point I have is more of a question - will turning it back on increase lag and crashes?

Well damnidge as an admin you can't go on a revenge spree and ban people. I believe were looking into ways to give the admin powers to shut the people up with having the eject them from the game. This is just purely theoretical and nothing yet completed what admins will be capable of.

We have the message spammer for many reasons, one of them is to establish the law of the land. Figure out what the policy is, and we'll add it there.

As far as crashes and server lag. There is no reason for me to think there will be much impact on the server. SV handles it fine, mm did fine with also iirc. Of course re-enabling it has some overhead, but it's capable and It's of at least my opinion it's well worth it.

There's nothing better then a bunch of us unsober admins getting together in the wee hours of the morning and going on a random ban spree, with taunts such as "My ban stick is bigger then yours..." Of course in the morning Toxic has to wake up in the whole mess and undo all of our hard work :tongue3:

WTH, Hornet? Where have you been on our druken late night ban sprees? There's nothing better then a bunch of us unsober admins getting together in the wee hours of the morning and going on a random ban spree, with taunts such as "My ban stick is bigger then yours..." Of course in the morning Toxic has to wake up in the whole mess and undo all of our hard work
