Sky islands seems to be a stolen idea from an Original UT99' monster hunt map...maybe it's just me who thinks this because i might also be the only one who's played it...

I'm sure many of these ideas are already developed in many variations. I say it doesn't hurt to bring them into Monster Mash :)

the sinking island does sound like it would be a really good map but i love the old face classic map xD would love to see a version of that map in MM servers. :compress:

Just to make a small chime in -
I'm really, really tired of box maps (where you're enclosed in a subtracted cube), levels with no lighting or totally unsourced lighting, and no attention to aesthetics. These levels are seriously depressing after awhile. So please, whatever you decide on doing, make it more than that.
Also, not to be a downer but I'm not necessarily sure some of your ideas are workable. Building a map, for example, sounds pretty iffy. Movers don't light very well, and can be disrupted for inexplicable reasons - ex. on the Weasel tribute map, there were columns that moved up and down in sync, except online they became desynced even though it should not have been possible for anything to interfere with their movement.
Almost all of the other ideas have potential to be really cool if executed well.

lol wail, I won't let you down.
It is not my style in making boxy maps but rather make you feel that you are in a different world. Did you see my maps lately?

Well, I'm done in building my island map. It looks good but I must be honest with yall. I've successfully built an island that sinks in matter of minutes. It plays well offline, but when it comes to online, my "test server" fails. The island sinks in 20 seconds, every mover I had is at hyperspeed & automatic plus the server crashes every time when it's 30 minutes into the game.
Having a moving volume requires to set the hidden property (bStatic) to false, but doing so will cause the map to fail during net play. I had to sacrifice the moving water & converted the island into a stable one. Although it looks good, the island won't be underwater by luci wave :(
I also changed the title since it's no longer a sinking island. I changed it to Archipelago-Derelict, & to lighten up some things, I added a little suprise at wave 16 hehe.
As requested from multiple people, I'll post up Xenomorph Facility & Sinking Island on Map Raider sometime this week so now yall can experience the uneasy feeling, knowing that you'll be sleeping with the fishes in the next moment >:)
I'm going to follow the polls in the order I should build my maps (GiantWorlds being my next one). I like to thank you all to participating & if you have any suggestions or requests, feel free to pm me, or post it here.

The other day I was sitting down drawing some map layouts and I realized we don't have any library-themed maps. I'm way too swamped with ideas and things to do as it is, but maybe you would be inspired to do something with the idea.
