  • Give it some time. If you play your medic for a week or so, you'll get use to of the speed.

If ya still alittle impatient. Try new ways to heal faster.

  • Medic artifacts do exist....I'm sure we'll be seeing more life bursts & sphere regenerators
  • Use the booster combo
  • Use vamp weapons (use a resupply prism or have a friendly person reload you)
  • Or make good friends with another medic so you can have a buddy heal ya while you heal yourself ;)

hmmm, after thinking about. I think medics got alot more interesting now that there are many other ways to heal efficient other than a grenade to the floor.

It is an easy class to play, with the ability to heal yourself and others, using MP5 rockets mostly. On luci, you can straight away have an inf link (though that means you have to be careful not to get slithed cuz u can't re-heal), and it is a useful class to me. I have adrenal drip lvl 1 and it serves me well enough. I have an inf mp5 within 20 secs of spawning.

CONCLUSION: Don't diss medics just diss BAD ones xD
hehe I agree on the pumping out bullets =P

Im more or less talking about evolving the medic into more of a palidin type char than just a sit back and watch the other classes wreak havic while I camp and pick at targets.

It doesn't have to be. To keep the people healthy, simply place a regenerating sphere over the camping spot, and go out there & play. If you are still dieing, you either need to keep the low levels alive (place a healing sphere as mentioned above) or buy some dr (don't forget advanced dr). You'll find yourself practically immune to most creatures in first 7 waves & even small titan rocks (as long as the small rocks hit you before the titan dies).

I love this version! You actually have to work hard to be considered a good medic. Keeping everyone alive & yourself while killing things is no walk in the park. That's thrilling for my tastes, and I'm sure I'm not the only one :D

When I was spectating medics (super heal version), I saw peeps out in the middle of the battlefield (based on monster damage, I'm estimating around 100-200 dr)...but I saw peeps out in the middle of the battle field shooting grenades at the floor while killing all monsters near by. Not one time during the wave, did they bother looking up.

Medic artifacts were worthless, too. Why bother spending adren to heal yourself when you can do it for free?

It also makes the other classes appreciate the medics, too. Now that you have to spend the time healing them, other players may become thankful & ya can become good friends real soon (which makes things easier to get weapons from ams or reloads from wms or extra healing from mms)

Only true medics will have high priorities in keeping the team alive at all costs ^.^

I agree that the (super heal version) was too much.

however your beloved role of medic is only maybe needed by beginners, which lvl up quickly and medics aren't needed as badly.

as DW_Mobius quotes:

"Last I heard, medics weren't supposed to be competitive with any class, at least like they used to be. I built my first medic ages ago and was able to keep up with everyone else. In subsequent patches/updates (as per my understanding) the class was supposed to become basically just a camper who sits around and heals people, and that is what basically happened. The other classes recieved boosts with new artifacts and abilities, and the medic was weakened to the point where I gave up on it and tried other classes.

I don't see a huge need for the class anymore TBH. The weapon master as I've played it, really should never need a healing, as Vampirism is such an amazingly powerful skill when it comes to healing yourself. If just a few mines give you several hundred hitpoints, why wait around for a medic to come find you? Duck for cover and throw something explosive out the door.

People think I'm crazy, but as an Adren master, I use the booster all the time, especially if I have max DR. Boosting will use MUCH less adren and keep you alive if you just stay back a bit and use a shock or mp5, (something with some range on it) as opposed to globing and shaking hands point blank with the monsters. Otherwise, as a medic, the only person I really ever needed to heal was myself. Everyone else seemed fine without my healing."

healers 80% of the time heal themselves anyway.

I use medic relics when I'm camping with others it is a fantastic tool for that and to help everyone stay alive in the later waves.

the (super heal version) was a good idea, medics have more DR than any class they should be the whipping boys out on the battle field, so increase their healing so they can do just that.

how about adding a skill that can be purchased just as vamperism or regeneration can be purchased.

_________________________________________________________________
skill: Healing weapon advancement

each level of this skill stacks, and is only applied to the medic healing weapon.
must be a medic/monster class to purchase
(max level: 3)

level 1
cost: 15
adds an additional 5 hp to each shot

level 2
cost: 20
adds an additional 10 hp to each shot

level 3
cost: 25
adds an addtional 15 hp to each shot

this skill alone would drasticly help the medic in it's role.
explosive weapons such as mp5, mine layer, shock rifle, bio-gun, flak cannon and rocket launcher don't fire fast enough for a medic to shoot the ground and live forever. but allow the medic to jump in and out of battle. also for the beloved role of medic, fast firing weapons would heal much faster to support other players/pets on the run instead of just camping all the time.

this is much more exilerating than just waiting for poeple to come to you, or trying to snipe heal everyone.

this is the evolution Im talking about, I'm not saying that medics should be gods of healling and be able to solo 70 monsters, but more or less run with the weapons masters and adren masters as a support healer and attacker.

Class has been evolved your not high enough to take advantage yet. My level 200 medic is able stay with any class until wave 13. You need to play and it will evolve not just come on and ask for an upgrade before being able to really play. JMO
