Hobbies
Trigga just caught the Aikido note. I am no longer practicing, but when I was in high school and early college took Okinawan Karate, Gung-Fu (precursor to Kung Fu), and Jujitsu. I always liked Aikido for its use of an opponents weight against them, but I found quickly in my tournaments that unless someone knew it really well they got pwned =P - definitely an art you have to master. The baggy pants kick ass fo sho =)
Cheers, Damnidge
My primary hobby is gaming, of all sorts (currently Final Fantasy 12!!! It OWNS!). Aside from that I am a computer enthusiast; so when I am not making sure the 50+ servers and 300+ workstations at my job are all functioning I delve into reading about new technologies and updating my wish list on newegg.

::ahem:: Just because I have more swords, knives, guns and other weapons than I have hands to use them doesn't mean I've got a fetish!kaeolian wrote: I know KK has a weapons fetish... But apart from that I dont know much about what other people get up to an enjoy doing. (and no looking after your kids doesnt count ppl)
Sheesh!! It's not like I sleep with 'em or anything!!! Oh..errrmmm...well there is that...ahh...NEVERMIND! :colors:

PS For fun...I read...lots! Sci-fi mostly, but historical fiction, a little fantasy and some mysteries too. Love movies..just don't get to go very much. Love to cook...gourmet to everyday, but especially things from the grill! My "serious" hobby is astronomy! I have an 11 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain from Celestron with a German equatorial mount. There are 4 cats in my household, which makes nighttime forays into the yard with the 'scope something of a "trip" on occasion...the cats think they're "helping" of course...meanwhile I'm cursing and trying not to drop a 25 pound counter-weight on my foot!

Karma...a term that comprises the entire cycle of cause & effect...

Seen this post for a few days and been meaning to respond but each time I try RL gets in the way. Well enough damn it...time to speak. I guess I would be one of the only black American males that loves to read mainly Sci fantasy and historical texts, bios, mainly concerning ancient civilizations. See my RL job is a social studies teacher 9-12. This year I teach World Geography to 9th graders, World History to 10th graders and an elective course of Psychology to 11th and 12th grades.
Before UT 2004 I played video games but abhorred first person shooters because of the jerks you see in the game. Then I found UT04 and found Spam Vikings and fell in love especially with ONS, because of the team aspect. Now my poor strategy and Role playing games site gathering dust. I used to play NeverWinter Nights and Homeworld. Now I just come online and play UT04 on DW's servers every chance I get.
Oh yeh I also love football and basketball. Icoach football in the fall. I'm a Huge K-State football and KU basketball fan. Roc Chalk Jayhwk Go KU!!!!

Well besides being married and a full time job as a service tech. Electical/Electronic. I fix it all.
In the summer time around here , run a dunebunny in the sand or in the hills. Have a good variety around here in the High desert of Utah. Take your pick . dirt or sand . usually go for the dirt and the hills.
In the winter enjoy snow skiing . Double Black diamonds all the way baby. I ski things I wouldn't even think about walking down . If I'm lucky I can catch a buddy with a snowmobile in the winter. Been a couple years since that . To damn expensive for 4 month's of use.
Around the house I have a mad scientist labrotory in the basement , complete with jakobs ladder and neon tube lighting just for kicks . This is were it all happens. Love to tinker. Almost have a 1968 Whurlitzer fully restored after being salvaged from the trash . Along with my favorite game . Phooseball. No 3 man goalies here ! , favorite next to UT that is . Except I am l33t at phoose.
Do wood working , made my wife a beatiful bird house last year, stand almost 6 feet and all custom. If I feel like playing with steel we got the welder outside along with a full line of tools of every conceivable nature.

Havn't been this broke since I was 18 and fresh out of the house. Got nailed with a whole bunch of extras . Will be paid off by early next year.
So the buggy and blazer are parked and I'm on an allowance. Good for UT bad for RL. BTW the IRS sucks butt.
The good thing is that I'm half pack ratt and plenty to keep me occupied.
Did finish the buggy trailer this summer. Wasn't getting done before. It was always good enough. Finally got the ply wood off and the meshing down .
Also a high metabolism that requires me only 3hours of sleep a night :clown:
