Yeah, I saw that.
The only way I can think that this is real is if it is a handpicked chip with a trifire system. And since AMD controls all facets of the system - chip, MB chipset, Vid, they can customize everything.
However, there are a couple of fishy items on the story. Plus, given his previous stories... ;)
It would be nice if it was true, since that would drop the price of that Q6600 G0 chip I have been eyeing. Though with my past experience, the vid cards make more of a difference in benchmarks than the CPUs do.
Looks like the Radeon X1950XT cards are a dieing breed.

In reply to what whippersnapper said about ebay...he is totally correct about people bidding on USED stuff for as much or more than retail. I was trying to get 512 DDR400 PC3200 I had a 25 dollar bid on it, which is a good price. Then some guy comes around at the end and bids 65 dollars! I found the same mem online for 40 dollars!... I had to write to the guy and tell him what a doufus he was.
