It is actually pretty low, I believe. Quality of link is more important than bandwidth.
UT uses small UDP packets. UDP provides for little overhead. However, since it is not guaranteed, packets can arrive out of order or not at all and they are just ignored.
Vent takes up far more bandwidth than UT does. But, it is in spurts. I would imagine that UT's VOIP is heavy as well.

Mac do you have 8 megabit or megabyte download? Most people have a service rating in megabits and their test scores usually show that. I have the same service as KarmaKat and usually test exactly the same with a 15 down 2 up. I wasn't aware that Comcast was able to provide anyone with that kind of speed. Looks great..... I could always cheat and show a crazy test score when I'm out-of-town. I've seen 48 megabit down in the LA convention center.
If you go to http://www.comcast.com and read about the internet offers and plans, you see that they have a Performance Package at 42.95 (6 Mbps), and a Performance Plus Package at 52.95 (8Mbps). I will paste exactly what it says for you to read:
Performance Plus (8 Mbps)

Also, keep in mind that if you have Cable televison and their phone service everything is discounted even more.
I have always been happy with my upload speed to for I am able to send files to friends at around 150 kb/s. Horent's upload speed is amazing, and I have never seen any that fast. Chavez obviously had the best upload speed because he tested some server. All in all I'm happy with the upgrade, I noticed a nice difference from the one that was $10 less.
Here is the fastest download score I ever got, the test was done in June:

Here is another test from today:

My tests have been all over the place...the lowest was 1500 a few days ago, and now I have over 15,000. My previous tests were from my area Tucson, but that wasnt an option today, so the nearest one is Scottsdale 2 hours away.

MAC you're still getting way more than you are paying for. Even with the Speedboost you should only be seeing a little over 12000kb/s. Looks like you're the only one in your immediate area with a cable modem and they forgot to put the cap on your connection. I wish it was like that in my area because Verizon FIOS will match that price and beat the speed. Everyone on Comcast around here is capped at 8. 100mbit is available in my area but I would need to make some money off my connection to be able to afford the bill.
