well i've been reading some reviews people made for the cooler master "extreme power duo" 650W psu and they seem to be happy with them for the most part. i'm only concerned about whether it can handle the 8800gt. it has 2 12v rails at 18A and one of the reviewers said it powered their 8800gts and i'm pretty sure the 8800gt was supposed to be more energy efficient...so there shouldn't be a problem if that person was accurate.
also i just got the psu and motherboard today and put them in the case. i was just trying to find out what connects to what and all the wires are twisted and tangled. tis quite a mess.

anyway, about the 12v rail things...what do you look at to see what uses the 12v rails? i know i saw it earlier but i don't remember.

I see we have good taste in power supplies Damnidge, as I have one almost the same exact one as yours, just a different model. (not the single rail version, but at the time I was told, that this was the best way, but i believe both ways can be fine.)

As far as cases, This is what I use, and I know its not as cheap as the ones you had listed, but it is sturdy, strong, and no sharp edges. Some of the cases that are around the $50 dollar mark are kinda flimsy, and its just a personal choice, however, but this is what I would recommend, and yes, my 8800GTX fits in there just fine. Not too big, not too small, and not any flashy lights...and you can stand on it with no worry about collapsing...

I hate doing this, but the first thing I do is throw out the power supply, or give it to someone, its not bad, but last time I checked, it is not big enough for my electrical hardware needs. (mine came with a 380watt, though this lists a 450 watt.)

anything that uses 12V will use one of the rails , each rail is like a independant supply of 12v .

Good info on the rest of it. Was looking for a good PSU.

8800GT draw approxmately 24 amps on the 12 V. line .

A minimum 400W system power supply (with 12V current rating of 26A)
