Hacks, aimbots (assists), camping, speed hax...
I'm not sure where the term "aim botting" came from but its using a program to aim for you.It's a 100% cheat and no one in public will tell you any other thing about it. Several of the nicer programs also provide other "cheats" if you will ie: "no fog" cheat so fog is eliminated on certain maps.Zapitista wrote:pardon moi but what exactly is "botting" and how would i tell?

like in 1 player when the shock rifles come out of nowhere from the other side of the map with deadly accuracy?

They way I tell is a player just wont miss on you at all. Thru the whole game. Or they use one weapon %100 accuracy and cant hit shit with any others. pull his stats if you need to. Specing him prolly wont really help. its the one on one where you can tell whose doing and who ain'.
Theres alot more that you should just ask Toxic or another mod about.

Maby its because im concentraiting too hard on the game, or could be just that i dont pay much attention to anything else but so far i havent heard one person complain about a hacker on either of the DW servers. Might be becuase im in the UK and play at diff times to a lot of you guys but stil...
As far as spotting a hacker goes only yesterday did i think that i spotted my V. first hacker on the 3pnt server, i didnt shout out or complain to him in any way, i just took great pleasure in dispatcing him time and time again. I may have been wrong because i dont pay that much attention if i die i just respawn and carry on again, i dont consider my self a good player... (please please please correct me if im wrong =P) so when i get killed time and time again by the same person i just put it down to their skills.
As for the hacker i "think" i spotted, i hit him directly with a huge number of flak rounds and he just didnt die it took me several respawns to kill him and even with powerups he shouldnt have lived as long as he did. Wether he was just a better player or not ill never know, but you guys might be able to tell me is there a hack that gives more health or more shield or just means you dont take as much damage ? (no i dont want to hack just wondering if such a hack even exists or wether its just aim bots or loaded weapons)

Cyks, from what I gather you were banned for what goes beyond being a jerk and enters into the realm of criminal harassment. You're better off getting lost.
Anyhow, now that such things are out of the way - first up, Kaolean, you're a solid player, and one I never mind having on my team. Don't get your hopes up, I'm not saying you're amazing or anything, but you're on my level which is IMO pretty good, and give an edge to the team (kill scores are IMO secondary for a lot of players, though a few of those to keep the enemy pinned is great).
Aimbots, aka things losers use - the bit about fast-moving crosshairs is wrong. I only run medium sensitivity compared to a lot of people and I can still pull a 90-degree snap shot off regularly...of course unless I'm using a flak or something I'm probably not going to HIT anybody, but there probably are such people that don't miss like that (my condolances to any unlucky soul who I've headshotted doing this, and there are a few). Just a warning for when you're speccing. :p

Are there any acceptable hacks or performance enhancing bots??
I haven't the slightest clue about these. Ever since i started playing this game i've just played fairly, but if people are using something to better their playing and it's acceptable, i wanna know.
