It works if you switch to vorp before it hits the target..

But bio is alot better because it charges the longer it is attatched and removes a ton of health,

Actually, the Bio is terrific as an energy weapon, just runs out of ammo way too fast. That is... If you can hit with it.

I was thinking of diversifying weapons not too long ago. I'm tired of seeing the common weapon usage: mp5, mines, & link. I'm thinking that we should give advantages to specific weapons that are never/rarely used.

For example, maybe we can have the bio rifle automatically slow the monsters (since it's gooie & slimey)

Maybe sniper rifles do 3X more damage whenever the player makes a head shot. Good on seekers :P

Maybe the Shield gun gains alot more experience for killing monsters in a humiliating manner. OR gain xp for deflecting shots with shield gun.

These advantages are included with the weapon & doesn't count as magic ability. That means the magic weapon abilities (null, healing, rage, or whatever) can be added to these weapons.

I'm just throwing ideas, but maybe adding something like this might encourage players to use uncommon weaps. What ya think?
The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.

Replacing all the weapons is probably too much of a hassle to bother with. I'm not necessarily against it, but I think realistically the best you are going to see is things like modified weapons getting put in maps.

Hehe. The AMRiL would be a lot more useful if the monsters weren't dead by the time it reached them :P

ATM I think the only monster you can headshot is a Metroid :(

Wail made some custom weapons for ONS a long time ago, although I don't know what they play like (except for the Grenades and Ripper). Includes Lightning Gun and BioRifle.

Alright, I understand. Thanks for letting me know though :)
I gotta learn how to make weapons. It looks like you could use a hand, & it looks fun to create new weapons :)

You can headshot Metroids, Moles, Kabukis... Pretty much any model with a skeleton (although if they use a custom skeleton they might not use a head bone, which means you can't).

In Xibalba and Cidom, the CSniper Rifle I put in there is capable of headshotting all monsters.

Not sure if those will ever see the light of day. The LTG wouldn't be useful for INV at all, and the Bio Rifle has issues which I've never gotten around to fixing.

I gotta try those out :cyclopsani:

Edit: Actually, could they replace the normal Sniper Rifle as a mutator? Or is it more complicated than that...

I think its more in the way of map spawns. not really for complete change of the weapon. like the ripper doesn't replace anything but it is placed in some maps

D2- If you get reading tuts etc its pretty easy, even if you just make it a extension of one weapon then change meshes etc and tinker with the dmg,

try the vids on 3dbuzz to make a sucky concussion rifle it takes like 3 mins and shows how easy ti is.
