Hey if UT2k7 really does suck, then put it in a drawer and come back to UT2k4, where some if not most of this community will stay for awhile. Then when they make the 'Big Move', go with them. It'll be alot funner.
Besides Wolfenstien 3D and Doom, Golden Eye and then its successor Perfect Dark, is what pulled me in to FPS. I completly agree about Perfect Dark, the insane amount of time my friends and I played on that is ridiculous (Damn N64 analog never lasted long kept needing new controllers). After playing Halo and then UT though, I find it very difficult to go back to Perfect Dark, b/c of graphics and more importantly the lack of control when compared to mouse and keyboard. All your blatant haters toward console games though keep in mind that you can hook up a keep board and mouse now to these newer systems.BRYAN_OF_OYBRO wrote:Oh you're so wrong. Perfect Dark. N64. Best game ever conceived by man.

I agree on the graphics bit for the most part, but Perfect Dark will always have a special place in my heart...

I never said I hated console games. I just said FPS suck with them . Lack of control is why . You tie in a mouse and keyboard to the PS3 and there really is no differance. At that point it would be an even field and console games could be played on the same servers with players running PC.Perfect Dark, b/c of graphics and more importantly the lack of control when compared to mouse and keyboard. I hear that Bomzin - I tried really hard with my old PS2 to get used to the dual analog jobbies but it does not compare to the feel of a computer.
Next - I totally hear everyone's views, and honestly understand them all. I go through times when I am burnt on UT - but thats why I have Red Orchestra Ostfront 41-45, MOH, and Need for Speed Underground 2. I also do agree there are glitches in UT that seem ignored from 2003 and previous games, but they are not so annoying that I stop playing alltogether.
When it comes down to it though, I second Hornet - I am buying the damn thing no matter what - I'll find a way to run it!
