The sHoK-ping pong map has been edited. Bomzin is right, as much as I'd like to keep it as is, its just not right.....

We can still beat the monsters, it will just take a bit more time...

Supershock has been edited out.

:reindeer:

Also, no vehicle type mutators are going to be put on the server.

I just tried connecting and no one was in the server. That TV.... map was up. I downloaded most of the stuff then I got a connection error issue saying this ------>

Connection Failed - Downloading Package 'Power_Pill_Meshes' Failed:

I don't know what that means, but I thought that I would note it real quick in case something needs to be tinkered with :clown:

What came after that? Was it a "version mismatch" or a "refused to send" or ....?

I have been getting refused to send errors on and off. But, it has been really inconsistant.

"Refused to send" errors are usually thrown when a server has bAllowTransfers=false and the redirect server (or the file on it) is unavailable for some reason. I believe it can also happen if the signatures for the same file on the two servers don't match and the game server is not allowing transfers.

However, we were having this problem last night and I'm not sure what cleared it. I was investigating it and only half-listening to vent when someone said it was fixed. I guess Wraith said some magic incantation and did a rain dance to unclog it.

On a related note, a version mismatch occurs when the *client* has a different version compared to the game server. It may even have been retrieved from the redirect server to the client, but still be incorrect. But this is more likely to occur when a file was 'uncached' and the client is unable/unwilling to override the file via the cache.

Snaggle.

I actually wouldn't mind playing it if the map maker does do the changes that he said he would do last night.

someone should mod the map in some horrible way and post it here. just to watch the fruitcake have a hissy... but that would be childish. Funny, but childish.

Okay...so I was bored this morning...not to mention it's even colder today and snowing again!! Major freak out for most Texans! Seemed like a good time to stroll through some maps for potential remakes for Monster Mash.

WarmerBody
This one has some really dumb blocking volumes, but I think it could be reworked with minimal fuss.

These next few are from the Community Bonus Pack projects.
Community Bonus Pack Homepage

Archipelago
Tropical....few above ground details with some underground rooms for hidey holes.

Buliwyf
Great looking map...definitely a "run and gun" style...no particular safe spots. But you can fight from the top of the main building and the two tall towers.

BlackJackal
Egyptian themed DM map

Azures
Also Egyptian themed but more open spaced than BlackJackal.

Koma
Alien cityscape. Multilevel, but not too huge in area. Found a lot of hidey holes in the upper levels. Dunno...this may be too "fish in the barrel" style...but of course sometimes that's fun too. ;)

And here are a few that I didn't find links for right away:
DM-Phobos2
DM-DE-Osiris2
DM-DesertIsle
DM-HarborTwo

Just my two cents worth on a quick browse through my DM maps. Hope some of them are worthy!

WarmerBody
found some screens, looks promising.

Archipelago
not a snipers paradise or FIB type. the hidey holes aren't completely safe either.

Buliwyf
it's pretty, but would be tuff due to the lack of safe areas. i've always managed to finish it, but only with HUGE crowds.

BlackJackal
Played this but don't remember what it was like.

DM-Phobos2
very good. low grav up top, several hidey holes and defensibles. lower flak area has 2 small doors and nothing spawned there... of course monster mover may take care of that d=

these would all be solid additions without mod . . . cept for the first one cuz i've never played it and don't know.
