i think the easiest way to mitigate the diff between high and low lv chars is with a level cap. while i doubt that rpg or druids have a setting for "max level" as i mentioned an 'effective cap' could be instituted. and IMO it should be around lv 200. with any 200's on of any class it's almost impossible to be at effective.
I dunno what the xp is for 200, but about 195 the xp should start to ramp up pretty hard. then levelling after 200 should be like 5-8x what is currently.
Now. . . i wouldn't suggest doing this on the current monster mash. as i said previously, a 2nd server with more restrictions and more . . . dare i say "seriousness" would let people decide how they want to play... for skill or for spam.
As a side effect, the ppl with super high level chars on the current server won't have to give them up. That'd be the biggest complaints you'd get.
The biggest factor is this:
the server is good and it's got a good crowd almost all the time. Therefore the slightst tweak to weapon speed affects hundreds of players. Can you imagine the noise we'll all get from non-members with the wholesale changes needed to bring some balance? I say just leave the current server as is, maybe even re add the stats that were taken down, and let it just be a spam fest... while the other server is for playing hard.

AS of last nite, 4,29 played 5 maps.
on level 15 only there are so many monsters it is lagging the
server. This is on 4 of 5 maps. On one it came to a complete
stop and crashed. This is the first time I heard people say that
everyone was lagging out. Give the monsters bigger guns but

something i didn't say up there and meant to: the reason for this is cuz Wraith at least TRIES to make the game funner/better by actively admining. It's lagin because the quens are having multiple babies again , hundreds of them . ie Wave 14.
Yes wave 15 is over the top , but really if you take away,don't count , the last levels the server is much more balanced . How do u set the last couple to be somewhere between where they were and where they are?

Tonight I will look at the babies issue. Its so wierd, I was able to literally stop them for awhile, but once we added a new mutator (and got rid of utcomp16), its all hell broke loose again. The toughest part is figuring out why it no longer is reading the .ini file for the queen no longer. Its written in the satori .ini file and it worked for awhile, and appears not to anymore. I have checked and double checked and its there with the new additional setting for control the number of babies in addition to telling it the max amount of children to have which is set to 1.

I've seen the queen problem before, but I don't remember how it was fixed. I think it had something to do with giant gasbags.
Also, if you're worried about the low level players having trouble with the high levels on, changing the monster adjustment factor might be something to think about if you don't want to alter the stats of the players.

I hope we have solved the queen problem, but I haven't been able to play to see if it truly is fixed, and I haven't gotten word from anyone, so I'm crossing my fingers...
We did have a misconfiguration with the .ini file and that why the queens keep spawning pupae.
I know the monsters have been varying with been way too hard at times. We're so close to having the new luci mutator going, and at the same time doing some adjusting and experimenting on the test server. Since we removed the adminmod16, things that didn't work now do, and were working as fast as we can to address this. Sit tight, our changes are coming soon, and you will enjoy them.
