Interesting idea, but the original idea is to make monsters less vorpal-able at lower monster levels, and once the monsters reach a certain TBD level, then the vorpal-able percentage reach what it is now.

However it would be cool, though not necessary, for the the vorpalling probability to increase indefinitely with the monster level. There would still has to be an upper limit though. A 100% chance of vorpalling would be silly even for a level 1000 player.

As for how useful some of the underrated weapons are, the minigun is usually trumped by almost everything, especially the MP5.

Don't make the vorpal you're only option when it comes to that situation. I don't like to gamble my odds based on chance.
Ant does have a point here though I must say.
If you are placing all you eggs in one basket... so to speak, then chances are you will end up losing, or having to switch to another weapon after all, if you are not getting enough Vorpal shots.

As for the last post that included some shots to make a point that you can make good use of the Rocket and Minigun.

Is that the personal score board of someone with level 200 or higher?
It's got to be, so your point is Null and Void.

I was refering to low level players, and to invasion modes where you can't get upgrades for weapons, but still have the titans and queens to kill.

Fact:
Rocket and Mini are powerfull on Normal death match, CTF, etc... modes, when playing against other human players or bots.

As far as invasion is concern, those weapons are useless against monsters, when used by low level players.

You can throw at me all the screen shots that you like, and make points in all forms, shapes and sizes.
It's not going to make a difference, because any player who remembers starting on invasion from the begining knows I'm right.
Unless, and let me highlight this too... unless, you have maxed damage bonus, have a piercing or energy weapon, and have enough adrenaline to sustain treple damage for quite a while.
Then yes, you can say that someone made more kills and a lot of xp with a minigun or rocket launcher.
Otherwize you just can't! PERIOD!

If you still think I'm wrong, try playing invasion Solo without the RPG mutator, or any cheats what-so-ever, and use the Minigun and Rocket launcher only, and you will see what I mean, then tell me if you did go pass wave 10.

+22 vorp is op'd. it's more the rate in which the vorpal vorps. if its possible, when using the DMM on the vorp gun, just the damage % change and not the vorp %. the gun will still deal monster amounts of damage, and in my point of view, a little more balanced. now lets pound our heads on walls!

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

btw love the subtle hints at other players

I started my AM a few months ago at level 25 just like everyone else. Level I maxed my WS? 25. Level I maxed my DB? Not long after that. Other than not overmaxing or using triple at the start, I was doing the same damage as all the high level AMs. I was tanking Luci by level 75. Impressed? I don't care, they're simply facts. :ssmile:

How did I level quickly? By going out and shooting monsters, not by putting a brick on an inf link's alt fire and pointing it at someone else. :swink:

It's not hard to gain levels however it's much easier to complain about how "hard" it is to level.

Very nicely said Seven. Oh and by the way Nelson a proper character build trumps linking any day. I did not get my levels I earned them as everyone else does on my main characters. When high levels come in the game It is not the high levels that make the game harder, it is when the low levels die. The level is and always has been based on the lowest level character alive. so it benifits the high levels to want to keep them alive. :sclapping:

No I'm referring to a pretty high player who gets scores same like me. He doesn't get omfgscores. He also wants this fixed.

I think you're refering to p or kk
nah i don't know p, but i do know kk, D, N, J, S, C, etc.

I don't know how the conversation went from Vorp and weaponry to how " I earned my points/xp".

If you are trying to insinuate that I earn my points by leaching from a link, you are barking at the wrong tree.
I AM one of the fewer players who earn every single xp point by him-self.
I hardly ask for any weapons to anyone, I allways use what I get.
I hardly ever link, actually people link me.

However, I'm not making excuses, because I don't have to prove anything to you... and at the end of the day, Invasion IS based on Team Work, and therefore we help each other.
It doesn't matter how you earn your xp, what matters at the end is that we all do our best to help eachother and win together.

There are a number of Selfish players out there who are just after fame and glory, and that forget how it's like to start from the begining, and give Rookies a hard time, all the time, that's not being a team player.
That to me has no value.

I value more a low level player who is always willing to help, than a very high level player who doesn't give a flying F*** about anyone else.

I am always willing to help rookies, even when I'm the top scorer, sometimes I stop killing mosters to help rookies, wether is for healing, making them a weapon, or max it, or simply to answer a question, according to whatever character I'm using at the time.
I don't care much for the score board, since it has nothing to do with xp.

You can be the top scorer by using a vorpal gun, but that doesn't mean you get a lot of xp... you get more xp using a link.

If you want to play as an individual, then maybe Single player Death Match is the Game for you.
On invasion always been and always will be a Team-Based mode.

I don't care if a Rookie leaches of me by linking me, all I care is that all of us survive if possible, and hear that sweet female voice announcing: You have won the match.

Keep Team work, and a sense of comunity and to hell with selfish players.
That's all I'm saying.
