Got the number one ranking in ONS last week.

How much do you need to be in No.1 on ONS?

1. Add every server that runs a map with a minotaur into your favorites
2. Join that server wehn you see that map running.
3. Whore, whore, whore the minotaur.

Rinse, and repeat.

Really I have no idea how stats are compilied at all. Jdub told me he felt that he played poorly that week. His individual stats with each weapon look rather low to me. He does however have alotta wins to loss ratio. He told me this week he felt like hes was playing about the same and his rank kept slipping each day. I assume thats because other people are playing better etc.

Lol I have done that before when I was still obsessed with TMU, but haven't done that in a little over a year now, so in this instance it was probably a few matches of Bitchslap in the tank and a the rest was probably good maps that I was able to dominate with the manta/raptor/cicada.

For anyone interested I have gotten to the #1 week and very close to month position without even playing a map with a minotaur or even an omni map where vehicles lend themselves to stupid advantages. It just takes alot of play consistently. I don't quiet understand the stats system but I have noticed that everyones rank seems to drop significantly every few days. Sometimes its 2-3 sometimes its 4-5. Those who play alot will obviously get their rank above those who haven't played since the drop.

Oh yeah and don't forget stats aren't necessarily skill, alpha and choco are overall better players than me even though I usually outrank them. That being said I've fallen into a certain style of play that favors vehicles and spends as little time DM'ing as possible. It's not that I cant or dont bust out the flac or SR, its that matches are rarely won that way.

BTW has anyone seen an in depth look into how the stats ranking server works?

You have improved tremendously since then. You used to be all about whoring the tank. But since then, you've become much more lethal on foot.

Basically.. If someone is ranked higher than you.. you get more rating points for killing them than a lower player... I have learned (just by trying..) that if you just dm in certain gametypes (like ctf for instance) your ranking will go up and you might not even be helping out. In ctf I just decided to ignore the flag and rack up as many kills as I could and I was able to get ranked even though I really wasnt that great at ctf. It seems to work the same in ONS b/c i have about 55% eff in ons but im only usually rated around 130.5 overall ranking or something like that while people who whore tanks and have like 70% eff in ons have around a 200 overall ranking, which makes their week rankings go to about 130-150. Playing a lot helps too :). Thats just my observation.
