I just got a 8800gts an im geting slow downs around the Dreamus 2 cores. Is anyone else seeing this? I have updated all drivers flashed my bios and all other games I run seem to be working fine including Oblivion which is one of the most taxing games i know of.
By the way this is MudSkipper
and thanks for any help.

Is it like major lag?
I remember reading about getting bad lag when someone went inside a building on a game with the 8800 series but i can't remember what the game was

If your facing the cores yes the fps drop alot. Sometimes 50% if you aim right for the anteana on top of the building. Its map build.

Just remember this: Dreamus wasn't built to be easy on computers. I think. It was built to be fun, which it is.

Im not talking about droping in half im talking about it going from 140 fps to 5. It dosnt stay at 5 but this is a duelcore 4400 with a new 8800 gts .My old 7900gt didnt have this problem.I dont think anything in UT should slow this set up down. I'm hoping this a driver problem an will be fixed if not im gona take the card back.I have been reading about alot of stutering problems with these cards in difirent games sence I got mine. Most of the games i play with it do great though, but somthings wrong and i cant kill yall at 5 fps lol its hard enough at a 140 fps.

Thats a great link. I have the 7900 GS KO I just added to this Vista box and it took alot of tweeking to get it running ok. I would look at trying Vsync on Triple buffering on in the regualr Nivida control panel as well.
Ill try that hide weapon and dynamic lighting off in game as well.
