i am posting this in retalliaton to the ridding of the invasions voice chat. why did you do this? i loved voice chat. and how many people like me want it to come back?

I can't use vent, and I got a new headphones, so I want it ON! If some asshat is ruining it for everyone else, ban him/her. You shouldn't punish everyone when not everyone is abusing it.
i personally like hearing the game and not tazs voice

The talking was excessive. If I were an admin I wouldn't want to have to police that, because it was completely overwhelming the play experience for everyone listening. If you want a chat room there are plenty of them out there in the big bad internets.

hmmm i think its good that voice chat is off...thats why we have a vent to use to talk on....u can go to a different channel and talk bout what ever....and if u cant use vent like zax said well try and find something like skype or teamspeak and get your friends to join u...everything can be resolved ;) :cheers:

Voicechat was spammed too much with nonsense, not to mention your a main cause for a lot of it...
Talking about the Monster mash game your playing is ok, but the useless comments and talking about tv or pokemon was not part of the game.

I'm flip-flopping too, Hornet. I would like it bak on, too. When an admin is playing they could mute the excessive talkers. Or people can do it themselves.
On the other hand, I can totally respect the opinions of others that don't like all the useless chat. If I never hear a another conversation about skins in my life it will be too soon. OR about some movie, or cartoon, or whatever. It had gotten comepletely ridiculous. And to put an exclamation point on it, I saw some people TEXTING for 20 minutes about skins during a game earlier. The spamming hasn't stopped; it's moved from voice to text.
IF we can't have voice chat, then there needs to be EXTRA policing of the text messages. As it is now, it is nearly impossible to communicate in game with a player that doesn't have Vent because the text is spammed now just like voice was before.
There are plenty of reasons someone might need to legitimately chat in game; and many of those people don't have Vent. AND stopping to type a text message in game gets me killed a ton because I don't care to sit in a hidey hole while I type out a message. I like to play. I can't type and play at the same time. Also, sometimes I don't feel like being on Vent because it gets pretty chatty in there too when it has 15 or 20 people in a channel.
Whatever the case, it seems patently unfair to remove the option to communicate with others by forcing active players to sit in a corner during play if they have something to say. It's the players that abuse the chat who should be dealt with; not the rest of the players.

The problem I see with Admins muting players on VC (is that possible?) is that it's immediately going to lead to complaints about favoritism. At least with text, if you're an admin, you can turn off TTS. There's no need for TTS because you can still read it if you want to in your chat log.
