Solved my settings problem. When I created my gamespy account, I used DW>Zeus. According to a poster on epicforums, when he created a new account only using letters and numbers, his problem went away.

So, I went and created a new account with only letters (zeus was taken). Now, my settings stick! I actually stopped playing the demo because I was tired of reentering all of my settings.

Maybe thats what I need to do also. I have to re-enter everytime and I had used the DW> prefix also.

Yeah, I am betting it works.

I wonder if I can change my name in game now. It would not let me before.

Still can't use setname to change my ingame name though.

For the name problem, do you think they're using the same situation with games like BF2 where once you make the name there is no changing. This would explain a little of the having to enter an email address when creating the name.

When you reloaded the game did you give the same email address?

I didn't reload the game. Just created a new account.

Used a different email addres though, because I figured it would bitch at me if I had the same..

Yeah I made 3 accounts with 3 names so they can't be taken later on if I feel like changing!! I hate that!!!

Are the names and passwords we are setting up here for just teh demo, or do you think this info will be used for UT3 retail?

I ask because if they are the same, I will also set up the names I know I'll want.

I was trying to find that info out but there's nothing about it that I could find.

I'm registering mine now just to be safe. I'm thinking it might reset with the full game registration with the product code entries but I would rather be safe than sorry!
