As an avid pencil and paper D&Der in previous decades...was a bit sad to hear this news today:

:crybaby:
In a world without insulative Personal Computers....actually getting together in the same room with a group of friends and letting one's imagination soar free...good times indeed.

Thats sad news indeed, I played D&D when I was in my teens. It definatly added a whole new love of fantasy into my life.

I heard the radio DJ poking fun at DD this morning, what a jerk. Sad to see Gary go but he will live on in every D&D that is played :salute:
Ok I read the article after I posted, I wasn't quoting anything lol

Well Taz your opinion is not welcome and I for one will gladly take the nerd mantle. I played in my youth and as many others have stated spent many a Friday and Saturday night out of trouble with friends playing D&D. It helped to foster my creativity and love for history that I turned into a carreer.
You on the other hand are immature and can not get past uncuth and belittiling language especially about something you more than likely have never experianced. Please keep your negativity to yourself.
Mr. Gygax will be treasured and remembered. Karma I still pull out the Gord novels from time to time and reread them. Many do not realize he also started the whole series of forgotten relms novels in which Drizzt is a huge part.

Kill yourself.
D&D is one of the greatest things I have ever experienced. I heard the news today from my College Councilor about Gary's death. All I can say is that he created and developed something that has helped me through my life, both with entertaining me throughout my earlier junior high years, and combating depression and stress throughout my high school years today.
It's very saddening news, but I am glad that nerds around the world will be able to remember how much he added to our lives. His contributions and inspiration will never be forgotten.
