So basically seekers are the biggest pain in the butt ever. :cyclops: :cyclops:
I always die on like, wave 15 with my inf link and nrg mp5, and it's really starting to annoy me. I was wondering how you guys manage to stay alive when there's seekers everywhere...I mean, I'm even dying when I stay inside. Maybe there's some sort of special tip or something, but I still have a really hard time surviving on the later waves.
Anything helpss :colors:

1. Hide
2. Globe (and then hide)
3. Sell your soul to Luci (you may still have to hide -- Father of Lies and all that)

Buy denial? Play a medic?
Guess weapon masters don't have a foolproof method of keeping the infinite link. Hide then.

You gotta be on your feet at all times. Always avoid a direct shot from a seeker. Usually seekers dominate low lvls because the players simply take a small peak to leech about a few xp, resulting in a stand still. Basically, you'll be no match for a seeker until you have globe, some nulling weapon, or high damage reduction.
Maxing Damage Reduction really helps out alot. With my medic (maxed adv dr) & with average lvls of 70, I only take in 40-75 damage from a direct seeker goop.
It's not only the seeker goo that's dangerous, high lvls fear the seeker pull. With max dr & such, a seeker pull can do at least 400 damage per yank. This is where Iron legs come in handy. To avoid great deal of damage from a seeker pull, make sure you are lower than the seeker pulling you. Don't shoot from high cliffs or ledges. Stay lowest as possible so the seekers will pull you up rather than slam you down.
Remember, as much as you would like the smite the seeker, ignore your defense until you max out your damage bonus. :cyclopsani:

Yeah the seekers are a big pain but they add a lot of variability and keep you on your toes!
Before I got a certain amount of Damage Reduction (I don't remember the amount), I was constantly dissolved by seeker goo that I never even saw coming. After increasing my DR, I was all of a sudden surviving seeker attacks.
Beyond that, I like null MP5, shock, or mini - or even flak or link if they're close - to immobilize them.
And if a seeker is trying to pull you, try to get behind a wall long enough to break its link to you.
Finally my biggest seeker saver is to drop my translocator somewhere safe and switch to it if - I mean when - I do get dragged into the fray.

I don't believe that the seekers actually do damage to you when they pull you. What I've seen is that the pull you, then hit you with a glob of goo a split second later while you're in mid air. One thing to remember though, if they pull you, you're going to have a quick close encounter, which is a good time to pull out a flak and hit them with your primary fire. Flak primary does just about the most damage of all weapons in one shot, and at point blank, it's hard to miss.
Like Seven said, leave a trans in a safe spot. Don't leave it somewhere it can get damaged, because that, for obvious reasons, would be worse than not having one at all.
And really, just get used to the seekers. They're much more of a challenge than luci, (which I find odd) with their ability to use you as a yo-yo. Get a group of them taking turns, and there is nothing you can do, but they do give good exp.

Sometimes there are bugs like when you hide behind a wall but seeker could still pull and ghosted you.
Or after you complete your ghosting and you left a small crater.
Other than that, Seekers is a good monsters.

I didn't read thoroughly enough. I thought he was referring to the pull itself, not the fall damage. I've never taken more than 150hp in fall damage though, and that is without any Iron legs.

u guys are gonna call me crazy but i actually like seekers. well not exactly "like" but they do actually help me during waves:
1) seekers are great when it comes to small maps like THE END coz they pull me out from waillords while im globing and we all know waillords drain adren like no other monsters.
2) the flying gives me 1-2 sec of shooting to regain my health and adren via nrg weps and vamp.
3) they can no longer kill me in one hit and if they are about to pull u it will sorta give u .5s of warning. (with its extending thingy) my suggestion is that if u are not globing stay in the corners so that when it is about to pull u, HIDE, then a second later u can come out and shoot again.
4) for those of u who dont like being pulled away simply put a trans somewhere safe. when it does just trans back and you'll be fine. (of course u gotta be fast about it)
