Saw this the other day, looks like a good resource.
My main concern is about files getting on there without their content creator's permission - For example, an older version of BioBuds is on there, and I really don't know if Bio wanted to allow other people to use his monsters.

Yup, agutgopostal says on the site hes sorry if anything gets on there that shouldnt as its a FTP and people can freely upload. Im sure if you msg him or shout on the site, he will remove. He is a member of the clan i am in and i could ask him to remove if The DW community, or bio. are not happy.

That's cool. I honestly don't remember what Bio's stance was.

Guys I saw this generating a bunch of hits on my site so I took a peek.
I built the site openly acknowledging files are the property of their owners. I alter nothing, even if I know it is incorrect. I have taken every precaution to make sure that something I mirror is the way the orignal maker intended it to be posted.
That being said I have had to remove some files for assorted reasons, and if something looks like it is not what it should be, I take the time to find out. I just posted yesterday here:
http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthrea ... 1&page=116 (post1154) about 2 monsters that were submitted that I was unsure about. I want the monster maker community to rest assured I am NOT trying to copy, borrow, steal or post anyone's work without permission. I have read hundreds of boards about invasion and any time a maker marks a file as private I find out before I put it in. If the Biobuds do not belong as public property, then they will be removed immediately and an apology from me posted. IIRC I was the one who found the Bio's posted to download, but darned if I can remember where. I'm pretty sure they were not player submitted.
Anyhow, thanks for letting me drop by and interrupt. I hope you guys like what I have tried to do. Criticism and suggestions are always very welcome too. Have a great day!

I remember you... Do/did you run an RPG DM server at one point? The name "Weekend Party" comes to mind.

Yeah that was one of mine. I was experimenting with a more relaxed RPG allowing quicker level-up but with a decent ceiling for stats. I was aiming for a run-and-gun type server with an RPG flavor but the RPG was horribly unstable with several higher players on at a time. It ended up being nothing but level-whoring. No gameplay at all.
Epic fail on my part.
Once a couple of players figured out how to crash the server via the denial bug, I shut it down. Live and learn I guess. You just have to have limits with RPG and it is very difficult to make those high without blasting any form of sportsmanship out the window. The rampant cheating was an issue too. AntiTcc or screensender was catching someone nearly every day. Too much drama. I'll stick to coding, monster creation and behind-the-scenes work.
