Mana Spirit

What does the mana spirit object do? How is it activated/used? Sometimes I walk over it and all I see is a "mana spirit" message but other times nothing happens.

If your adren is below 90,
then you can pick it up & it'll set your adren somewhere in the 90's

If your adren is above 90,
then you can't pick it up.

I thought it gave a small adren drip if your adren is blow 90.

When you pick it up it instantly gives you enough mana (adrenaline) to set you at 95.

If your mana (adren) is below 95 you should not be able to pick it up (however, this might not work entirely correctly).

Last night I had over 300 adren and was able to pick one up. I don't know what effect it had on my adren count though.

if you have over 95 adren and stand on it then when it would normally dissapear you pick it up...also when a monster dies and an artifact comes out of it you can sometimes pick up the artifact and have 2 of them...on multiple occasions i would come out of a pile of monsters with a spare globe which was kinda nice so i could give it to someone who could use one

I've been "testing" the mana spirit. At 300 adren, I can't pick it up however, I can pick it up only when the mana spirit is disappearing (about to vanish). Picking it up while it is disappearing did nothing to my adren. It basically has the same affect as if you were standing with a lucky gun. When your shield is maxed & your weapon is generating more shields, you can still pick up the shields only when they are about to disappear (even though they did nothing).

Yeah, all pickups have this same behavior. It has to do with the "disappearing" (and also the "falling") state - For whatever reason the checks the pickup is supposed to do in its default state are not inherited to these other states.

Since picking up a mana spirit while it's disappearing means that [most likely] no one else was going to be able to pick it up anyway, I am not sure it's even worth addressing.

I always wondered why sometimes I could pick up things and never knew what mana spirit was at all. I thought it was some artifact that only certain classes could get or something.

Last night I believe I experienced what it's intended to do. I had about 5 adren and the mana spirit brought me to about 95.
