any random ideas for "Suburban" map
hey everyone, as some if of you may know my brother and I are the authors/creators of "DM-Suburban_Halloween" and i am hard at work creating a "winter/Christmas" version of the map. Now i have already made countless changes to the Halloween version both physically, game play wise, and visually. I am very imaginative along with my brother (as you can see by some of our maps) likewise i usually don't ask people for some input and i just let my own ideas and feelings flow, but i figured what the heck why not. So im posting to see if anyone has any "GENERAL" ideas or inputs about the maps...nothing too specific like "I want to see a reindeer next to the 2nd house!" lol but more along the lines of "i would like to see...". Ill take any idea posted into consideration and it may make it into the map. and if you are wondering, im a good 85% done with the map imo, but i do have some things yet to implement and create....as well as the time consuming task of optimization lol
hmmm sounds like fun,would it be possible to do what they did with the halloween maps with the gravestones but put ppls names on christmas stockings or pressies dotted about the map instead?
or perhaps a christmas tree with adren baubles and gifts?

Here's my changes I'll suggest:
snowmen (melted, halves, tall, short, skinny, all sorts) in the backyards or frontyards
Forest should be covered in snow obviously (but have snow particles fall as you shoot the trees).
Every house should have Christmas lights! (don't do coronas, that'll eat up just too much memory)
Have snow igloos or snow forts at the backyards.
Icy streets (reduce ground friction)
Candy canes for adren or health
I'm not sure what you did with the haunted house, but it should definitely be converted into some sort of Santa clause or Giant Christmas house
snow snow snow (snow covered roofs, snow covered windows (glass?), snow covered cars, & super duper heavy snow weather FX. Maybe some snow fog too.
& pleeeeaaassseee remove the blocking volume to pumpkin patch lol.

superchav- i havent really given any though to movers, i thought about them slightly, but not really in depth...but it doesnt mean they might not make there way into the map :)
Terra - the idea of putting names is on stockings is intresting, i already have some stockings in my map but i may be able to modify them if i decide on going that route :)
D2Boss - boss nearly everything you listed i already have in some form or another through out the map :) so we must thing alike in some ways. I also know you asked about he haunted house, well it has been removed and replaced with something that "fits in" with the more suburban christmas theme. Also as far as the pumpkin patch, there is none LOL, there are no pumpkin patches in the dead of winter, so it has be "axed" from the map, and the space as been utilized for other features and ideas.
o and i saw suggestions of pick ups, i already have implemented...

But then we'll just get a million pms saying "yeah I want a stocking." Unlike the tombstones we can't add a funny "death quote" on a stocking.

hmmmm, I guess what people can include what they want on their stocking (I want a trans peaking out of my stocking, I want coal, OR I want FallOut 3 game cover peaking out) Nothing too complex peaking out.
That might take a long time to make, but if Draco is up for it, I guess we can use Stockings as the Christmas special :cheers:
I already have a huge list of things to get done. The tombstones really pushed me behind schedule (both mapping & schooling), so I am sure I won't be able to do this. Specially that finals are around mid December >.<
Oh just a heads up, I got several pms of late responses; I got this HUGE guilt for denying them :'(
