Been running prime95 for an hour and temp has not gone past 67c. I know that Intel says the safe temp is 72c but have read others have run as hot at 85c-90c. I could add the .5 multiplier but want to see how the temps do for a couple more hours. Anyone have any liquid nitrogen around? :bounce:
Motherboard is Gigabyte ep45-ud3p, 8 gig ocz gold ddr2 800, nvidia 8800gt oc2, freezer 7 pro cpu heatsink/fan, 500gig seagate hdd and running vista ultimate 64bit edition.

Well you know when you get a new toy one has to play around a bit. But I don't think I will try to push it any further until I can get either a better cooling system or someone wants to donate some liquid nitrogen to the project. Even though I think I could get 4.3ghz or 4.4ghz on the cooling system I have I don't want to push the temp over 70 degrees and .3 or .4 hz isnt really going to do much as far as speed goes but if I could get to 5ghz then i would be willing to push it to the limit. :thumbleft:
