One day left until the free official UT3 bonus pack (or 'Titan Pack') and brand new patch are released to the community. A bunch of new maps, Steam integration, a couple of new gametypes and improvements to the UI are all in there, plus a ton of fixes in the patch.
BeyondUnreal wrote: * 16 environments - 4 Warfare, 3 vCTF, 6 Deathmatch, and 3 CTF maps – that are new to the PC and PS3 versions
* Three bonus pack maps, CTF-Face, CTF-Searchlight and DM-Morbias (with preview pics)
* The namesake Titan mutator, which lets players overwhelm opponents as a 15 foot tall titan, or crush them as a 30 foot tall Behemoth
* Greed and Betrayal, two gametypes that breed new-found fervor throughout the competitive UT3 arena

* Two powerful weapons, the Stinger Turret and Eradicator Cannon artillery
* Two valuable deployables, the X-Ray Field and Link Station
* The Slow Field power-up, a portable version of the Slow Field deployable
* Stealthbender, a new vehicle that carries two spidermine trap deployables, one EMP mine, and one each of the new Link Station and X-Ray Field deployables
* Two new characters, Nova and Kana (Liandri and Ronin, respectively)
* 57 awards attainable as Steam Achievements and PS3 Trophies
* Broad improvements for PC and PS3: Significant AI enhancements, especially in vehicle gametypes; networking performance upgrades; greatly improved menu flow and UI usability; better mod support
* Client-side demo recording, highly improved Server Browser, a new maplist system, plus mid-game mutator and gametype voting functionality for PC
* High demand PS3 features including PS3 Trophy support, two-player split-screen support, and mod browsing
Details - Huge patch changelist - Jim Brown interview

I've barely played UT3 since I got it, but I'll probably download it this weekend, even if it's just for Greed and the Titan mutator. Anyone else trying it out? Anything looking particularly interesting? Any chance of this being a completely hate-free thread?

Oh, and any chance of a Stealthbender 2k4? :faroah:

P.S. BeyondUnreal is also giving away Steam keys for UT3, just post here if you're interested.

I'll check it out for sure. I'm a bit disappointed in the patch content already though - Why make new gametypes that no one is going to play? Wasn't that the reason that they got rid of DOM, BR, and AS?
I'll grant that DOM and AS required their own maps, but BR is essentially one-flag CTF. So it could be played on any symmetric CTF map.

Steam integration doesn't mean anything to me, nor do the achievements.

The Link Station - I don't know how that's going to work, but I can assume it creates a deployable that will heal nearby vehicles. I've actually been wanting to make an item like this for 2k4. My only concern is how easy it'd make it to heal up the Minotaur - You wouldn't even need to leave the vehicle!

As for Stealthbender - Probably. Eventually either I or Wormbo may port this one over.

Played it last night, had some good fun with Greed. I'm actually pretty impressed at how fun this gametype is and how it incorporates elements of CTF / BR and just plain fragging into its core mechanics.

Worth downloading just to check out the new maps, IMO. OceanRelic is a freaking work of art.
