Install Tips for Windows 98 - XP.

1. Download the zip file for the skin you want to try to a location where you can find it easily.
2. Place the zip file in your Xfire skins folder. The default path is: "C:\Program Files\Xfire\skins\".
3. Exit and Restart your Xfire. Just logging off and back on will not work when adding a new skin.
4. On your Xfire client click "Tools", then "Skin", a list of your installed skins will appear. Select the skin of your choice to load it.
5. Enjoy your new Xfire skin.


Install Tips for Windows Vista.

1. Download the zip file for the skin you want to try to a location where you can find it easily.
2. Place the zip file in your Xfire skins folder. The default path is: "C:\ProgramData\Xfire\skins\". See "Vista Note" below if you can't find your "ProgramData" or your "Xfire/skins" directories.
3. Exit and Restart your Xfire. Just logging off and back on will not work when adding a new skin.
4. On your Xfire client click "Tools", then "Skin", a list of your installed skins will appear. Select the skin of your choice to load it.
5. Enjoy your new Xfire skin.

** Vista Note **
By default "ProgramData" is a hidden folder. You may need to go into your control panel to enable viewing of hidden files and folders to be able to see it. --> (Control Panel->Folder Options->View and check "Show hidden folders and files").
