Ok. I made a map, placed and sculpted terrain on it, skyboxed it, tested it, worked brilliantly. I then built a tower via adding and subracting squares (none touched the skyboxed sides.) After doing this the skybox no longer works. I have reset the skyzone info, I have taken off and put back on the fake backdrop markers, I have remade the whole skybox, I have copied it over to another map under another name, still no fix. I have a feeling that I have done something that is stupidly simple to fix but for the life of me I cannot figure it out. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks all

To clarify:
  • You've successfully built a skybox
  • You included a new terrain (either using the terrain editor or a custom static mesh)....Either way shouldn't cause problems
  • You built a tower by adding and subtracting cubes. Then problems occurred. I'm assuming you may have intersected the BSP brushes causing HOM (Hall of Mirrors) or BSP cuts. Since the skybox may be inside the HOM, it may cause it to break. This is only a guess though. Can I see a screenshot to see how you built this tower for details??
Can you see any BSP cuts in the skybox through the editor? Can you see the skybox through the fake backdrop surfaces in the editor (press K to toggle fake backdrop visibility)?[/color]
The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.

Yup. Intersected BSP ... knew it was something stupidly simple. All fixed now. Thanks a lot!
