Account Transfer Across CD Keys?

I was talking about this a couple times in-game, directed toward Franky, but he's too busy playing to bother it would seem. :)
The issue is this: A friend gifted me a copy of UT2004 several months ago that he said he had purchased himself (he holds LAN parties, so I figured this may have truth in it), but a couple months or so back, the CD key got smacked with a UTAN ban, keeping me from joining an awful lot of servers, including the DW Spam Vikings server. I did a tad of research and found that the key was banned due to like... 30+ people using it, and several of them using cheats. Oh, yay! So, since then, I have purchased my own copy of UT2004 to make things surely legit. Now, I have a name on the "Death Warrant:Monster Mash RPG - Server 2" server that I can not use due to a changed CD key.
My question is this: Who exactly do I get in touch with to see about getting the name/stats trasfered over so I can actually use my legit key instead of the yarr'd one? Since this is technically not a ban I am experiencing, I didn't want to start sending those in charge of such matters emails about this without first asking who deals with it.
