Fav/Least Fav Vehicles

Hey guys and gals.

This is my first post. I've been playing Spam Vikings for about six months and loving it!

Anyway, I thought it would finally would be a cool time to post. So, what's you're fav/ least fav vehicles?

For me:

Goliath: Meh, an okay vehicle. Packs a powerful punch, but too slow for my tastes, and I don't have enough skill to shoot down those damn Mantas.

HellBender: I used to not like this vehicle since the driver couldn't fire anything, but it's growing on me. I love driving it up the tower in Tricky and blasting anyone who tries to come up with the turret.

Manta: I love this vehicle. Speedy and pretty powerful for it's size. I admit I'm a manta whore, especially on ChainsIsle.

Scorpian: I like this vehicle. It's speedy, but the weapons aren't that great. It's better for zooming around the map getting to nodes rather than fragging.

Raptor: This is another vehicle that I used to not like but has grown on me. I particuarly like flying it about AirMars.

Levi: I have a love/hate relationship with this vehicle. I love it's firepower, but if it's on a big, hilly map with far-apart nodes, (Volcano High) it's a bore to pilot.

Spammer: Meh. Sucky vehicle. I don't like it at all.

Padelin: Another not-so-great. It's too slow and week. Main fire reload is slow, and the shield isn't THAT great.

Cicada: A good vehicle. Easy to pilot, and both the pilot and gunner positions are fun to man (unlike, say, the levi).

So, what are you fav/ least fav vehicles?

Screw all vehicles, being on foot pwns. You shouldnt just turn the turret with your mouse, make the entire tank turn with you. Spam objects that will be near the expected flight path and it will destroy the manta. I dont think i ever grabbed a paliden on purpose. Scorps are fun to drive but i just cant get used the web concept.

Actually the stock scorpion is not fast at all. It goes the same speed as a Hellbender and I think Epic screwed up badly when they made it so slow. But my friend, that weapon is vastly underrated. Its the most powerful gun outside of a Ion Tank, Levi cannon or redeemer. A full length of scorpion string arount a tank, paladin, levi or hellbender will do 455 damage. Thats the vehicle I use the most.

love the manta, prefer riding on top though.
scorpion should either be much easier to control or have more damage points resistance, because 455 damage to a goliath at 800 leaves you dead.
goliath is to slow for me, prefer foot over goliath.
hellbender is favorite if i'm in side turret,, boom boom boom. hehehe
raptor i am not skilled enough "yet" to like it.
padelin <gagging, chokes, kills over.
levi only if I'm the driver.
spammer only if avril toteing teammates are around.
cicada only if I'm the second position.
But I love being in the ground battles with a flak cannon, wOOt

as a mapper, one must learn all the vehicles, all of their strengths and weaknesses.

except the SPMA, fuck that thing I don't use it in any maps ever 8)

I use the SPMA quite a bit, and it comes down to one thing: being a ninja, or not being a ninja. Learn where the enemy goes, and put the beacon near the ground where they don't. On Tricky there are so many places you can stick your beacon without them EVER figuring out where it is...or where YOU are, if you're smart about hiding. Hint: not the tower.

Goliath: Too slow for me. I am an impatient attacker. While it is powerful, I am not very good at anticipating where other people are, so I don't do a lot of damage.

HellBender: It is a lot of fun, if you can pick up some other people along the way to make it an attacking vehicle. Otherwise, I use it as fast transportation and park it, switch seats and start hitting stuff.

Manta: My favorite vehicle. Great for quick attacks. Sometimes I am on fire with the thing and othertimes I feel like I can't smash anything with it.

Scorpian: It is alright. Great for taking out mantas. It is a bit touchy to drive however. There is a version out there that is even worse. It is faster. The thing does a pop-a-wheelie if you are not too careful.

Raptor: I do alright in the Raptor. Flying it takes a bunch of practice. And you can get hit by a lot of stuff.

Levi: Levi is alright to drive. I normally use it as a defensive weapon. This is because by the time you get it anywhere the battle us usually over.

Spammer: I used to hate this, till I figure out how the aiming worked with it. It is really strong with a passenger who can defend it while you are blasting away a node.

Padelin: Boring... I would rather have a goliath.

Cicada: Another one of my favorites. It is especially good when you have a passenger. I can't stand it when someone who does not know how to use it (not that I am an expert or anything) takes it and starts trying to do air to air combad with it. The thing is made for knocking out nodes and then quickly getting to the next one.

Its easy to drive! And the fast version thats out there is a wonderful genius bit of coding that makes manta users everywhere quiver in their boots! Seriously though - stock scorpions are too slow. I think Epic realises this themselves as they made the SPMA even faster. The UT2007 scorp is going to be fast and have rockets instead of the web apparently. :crybaby: I like that web. Its very very underrated.

Whose stats are those? Certainly not ours, where tanks have racked up more kills than everything else put together (Dreamus, Bitchslap)...
